What kinds of stores are in Canada? |
Travel Info I am traveling to Niagara falls from the US and I would like to know what to expect. Are there Wal-Marts? 7-11's ? Shoprites? MCDONALDS? I need to know of nearby (reasonably priced) stores that I can run into to get food or batteries or whatever I will probably forget to bring with me. Travel Tips Sadly, we have nearly every store in Canada that is in the US. We're chock-a-block full of freaking Wal-Marts, 7-11s (in fact Canada is the highest consumer of Slurpees per capita), and more McDonalds than you can puke a stick at. We got KFCs and Starbucks and everything. What we don't have, we'll have a nearly identical Canadian version of. We might not have Targets, but we got Canadian Tires. We don't have Popeye's, but we have Swiss Chalet (which is actually much better). Our stores are also linked with Interac networks that allow you to use your regular bank card in any convenience store or pharmacy to make your purchase. No special 'Mastercard Debit' or other BS, just your regular bank card. Something American stores should definitely take note of. Others go to a Zeller's for that stuff Only huts that trade you food for wolf pelts. why is canada so different from us Um ... sorry we still live in igloos ... Pretty much the same as USA side of the big falls. Why u look so mad? LOL There are actually several different stores in Canada, if you are looking for clothing, I suggest Roots, if you are lookng for a small tourist food shop, you can never go wrong with Beaver Tails (Beaver Tails is sort of a type of bread with topping. |
