New question: Visa or Passport? |
Travel Info I'm from central america, not a US citizen. I want to go to Niagara Falls (Canadian side) for a couple days. Do I need a visa or just a passport? Thanks for your help. Travel Tips Here is the link with the list and you can check for your country. There is lots of other info around that site so check it out. If you are from Mexico you just need a passport. Most other Central America Countries you need both. There is no different rule for a day or a couple of days like the first answer suggests. Customs only see you when you enter, and if you say you are here for a day, how do they know? They Will treat you the same as all tourists coming in from your country. What they will do is just change the classification of visa to a "transit visa" for up to 48 hours. With that you have to show you will be out of the country in that time. Only Americans can get into the country without a passport and that ends at the end of the year. I think you should go for it! Come visit! That goes with any place you haven't been to. Other Travel Tips I believe that if you go for less than 24 hours then you do not need either, but make sure that you have proper Visa to get back into the US... Also, if I were you, I would not risk and go anywhere... Nowadays, there are too many changes and problems on the border. You may need both. These sites should give you the information you need.
