Travel Tips
as far as packing goes, don't over do it, wear things more than once, and pack things you can wear with more than one item, like a pair of capris you can dress up or down. ECT. I would pack tank tops and shorts/capris. A couple T shirts if you are sun sensitive or if you burn! I would bring like on thin thin jacket or a sweater becuse the resturants and rides are very cool with the A.C. on. Also pack I would bring a hat and sun glasses. Comfy shoes, thats a very big thing, if your feet hurt your day will be shot. I would bring a small back pack or a fanny pack to wear in the park to carry things like your money, a cell phone, lip golss, sun screen and anything else thay may be essential! SWIM SUIT and a cover up to wear down to the pool, fli flops! pj's bathroom stuff, ya know tooth brush, toothpaste, shampoo, cond, deoderant, smelly spray, make up what ever you use!

What to do! EVERYTHING, when you get there you should pick up broshoures for every park with the timing on al the parks and the rides and everything and go to everything you can!

Others
There are so many great rides at Disney World. If you've never been to Disney then you definitely need to ride Space Mountain, The Tower of Terror and Rock 'n Roller Coaster. At Epcot I love the test track (it's not scary just fun). At Animal Kingdom the Calli River Ride (be prepared to get WET). I don't know how long you are staying but if you are able to take a couple of days for each area, then ride EVERY ride, they are all good, but if you only have short time then I recommend those above. I've never been to Florida in April (only in the heat and humidity of summer) but it looks like the temp over the next couple of weeks is mid 80's cooling down to the 60's at night. Have a wonderful time!
pack for hot weather, but it rains from time to time unexpectedly so pack an umbrella and you'll be fine. Depending on your age and/or likes, you have the major theme parks Disney (rides: Space Mountain, The Tower of Terror and Rock 'n Roller Coaster), Universal (Rides: Hulk, Spider Man, Jurassic Park, Back 2 Future) and SeaWorld (Rides: Atlantis). You also have a lot of small attractions around the area such as Wonder Works, Ripley's and others. If your looking for something at night check out City Walk, Pleasure Island and Downtown Orlando.
I would go to www.disneyworld.com and register there.. There are tons of great information as well as you can make a list of rides and things that you would like to see that you can print and take with you.. They also have personalized maps but I think that it is a little late to order those...
Go get the UNOFFICIAL Guide to WDW for 2007. Everyone raves about Birnbaum's guide, but it's too biased in my opinion. The guide I am referring to is much more comprehensive and realistic about rides, and all other info about the parks. It gives you ratings by different age groups, wait time trends, restaurant break downs, and other Orlando park info too! You can make an entire day out of just visitng the hotels. They are amazingly themed and gorgeous.
As for packing, don't bring cotton socks. Weird as this sounds, there is another material socks that don't aid in blisters. I can't remember the material but I'm sure someone would know. Also bring moleskin, not band-aids to cover blisters. It works much better.
Bring several pairs of walking shoes. Don't just bring your best pair and rely on them. I've found that alternating my shoes day to day makes a big difference! Prepare for any kind of weather. I went in the spring and froze and roasted alternately the whole time I was there. Have a good water carrying container or system (such as a camelback, nerdy I know, but works well!). Take advantage of fastpasses.
For more info and to ask questions for "free " (without giving up points) visit laughingplace.com. You can ask seasoned veterans about anything you'd like to and get great answers and other park links. Good luck and have a magical trip because you'll never forget it! Also remember if you stay on property, parking is free the whole time you're there!
I live about 5 hours from Disney and I go there often. The weather is nice, if you are coming from the North.. PLEASE PACK SHORTS! You have to ride all the rides, take advantage of the "Express Pass" it is this pass (you can only use on 4 rides) where you don't have to wait in line. You put your ticket in and it gives you back a ticket with a time stamp. You go back at that time, and you don't have to wait in the long line. I mean, I can't tell you, WHICH ride to go on, go on EVERYTHIGN. In Magic Kingdom, don't go on "It's a Small World".. you will never get that song out of your head. Well, look for maps on each of the Disney Theme parks, and go to YouTube and you can see previews of the rides if you type it in. Or type in "Disney World" / "Walt Disney World" have fun. It makes you feel like a child again!
We are heading to Disneyland in a few weeks and there is a very informative forum where all your questions are answered . Similarly go to tripadvisor.com and then search for a forum on Disney World and you should find lots of people willing to help you with your questions. Have fun!!
