Going to Atlantic ocean beach April 4th wk. Willing to drive 1hr to orlando. whr will spring break NOT be? |
Travel Info st agustine jacksonville or further south Travel Tips Go to St. Augustine!!! Jacksonville and further south are loaded with spring breakers. I go to St. Augustine all the time....we own a beach house there for vacations. Instead of going to the "St. Augustine Beach" Area go further south on A1A on the island. There are other beaches that you can still drive on but are not as crowded...for example, Butler Beach. Email me if you want more info...I know all about St. Augustine. Others Lucky for you, spring break has died down by that week. Some schools still have spring break, but the peak spring breaks are the 2 weeks before the one you are planning on traveling. If you choose to travel to Daytona or Cocoa (both within one hour of orlando) then expect to be lingering spring breakers around. Try Satellite Beach. Its not as crazy as Daytona or Cocoa so Spring Breakers are not likely to venture that far. As far as things to do, well, other than the beach...thats about it. I have lived in Orlando for quite some time and I know how bad spring break can be. I work at one of the disney properties and sometimes they dont have a care in the world for people or property. If you want to relax, check it out. I hope it helps. Also, think about Melbourne area. Again, its not "hoping" but then again, no spring breakers. Happy Travels! To satellite beach from orlando: 528 East to I-95 South I-95 South to Fiske Blvd. Head towards Patrick Air Force Base, and make right on A1A. |
