What are the best sites in Disney World for a 4yr old? |
Travel Info My 4yr old daughter and I will be in Orlando for 6 days in September at Disney World and since it is just the two of us, I want to make sure the trip is geared to her. While there are a lot of things I would like to see, I am more concerned with her having a good time. What parks, rides, and things are best for a 4yr old?? I want to make sure to maximize our time so I am planning a daily itinerary and all the help I can get would be GREAT! PLEASE ONLY GIVE HONEST HELP, I DO NOT NEED SARCASM OR RUDE JOKES. THANKS! :) Travel Tips First, get a stroller. The parks are simply too big for small children to walk thru the entire day. When she get's tired, around 11 am for most kids, you will end up carrying her everywhere and THAT will make everyone annoyed and upset. Magic Kingdom is best choice for small children. They have things everywhere she will love. Walk to the left, everyone else walks to the right. So you will see more. PS A small battery powered fan will help too. Kids like the fans when they get hot. Others This answer was only chosen bc I forgot 2 come back on here & choose MY best. while this 1 contains good tips, it is about surviving the parks. My question was about what parks, ride, etc were best 4 toddlers. MY favorite answer & in my opinion the BEST came from SEAGIRL! thanx every1 well the best park for a 4 yr old would definitely be the Magic Kingdom.. its more geared for the young ones.... although it's good for anyone.... Animal Kingdom has some kiddie rides as well... and it's good to see the safari (which is a ride) all kids like animals..... there are tons ofr sites for you to check out for disney off the top of my head allears.net intercot.com disney.com disneyworldtrivia.com have fun... I'm going in 3 weeks Well, Magic Kingdom is a must. You have all your classic disney characters. Also in there they have Mickeys Toon Town. All the rides in Fantasy Land in the Magic Kingdom are good for younger children You also might want to call ahead and book an appointment for the Bippety Boppity Boutique located in Downtown Disney. There they give little girls princess hairstyles. Be sure you take a trip to Downtown Disney. It is an experience in itself. My daughters walked around slack jawed at the stores and displays. Also, don't stress about seeing everything. Animal Kingdom takes less than a day to walk through. There won't be much in Epcot she will be interested in. The Magic Kingdom is made for her. Just take your time and enjoy all that there is to see. I would recommend staying on property so that you can get an early start into the parks and then as they get more crowded, and you both get tired, you can easily get back to your resort and relax by the pool. Then you can return to the parks when you're ready. If you can afford it, stay in the Magic Kingdom for maximum convenience and pampering. For a 4 year old I would recommend the following: Magic Kingdom Park- It is the perfect park for you and your 4 year old to visit. It has many mild ride except the occasional thrill ride! Sites and rides that you make sure you do not miss are: -Cinderella Castle(site) -Peter Pan's Flight( Make sure to go to this ride right when the park opens, it is always crowded!) -Big Thunder Mountain Railroad(if she is a little adventurous!) -Mickey's Philar Magic( a great show you and your daughter will love!) -Make sure you do not miss the "Dreams Come True Parade" In this parade you and your daughter can see many Disney characters! -Wishes(Fireworks) -The Haunted Mansion -Pirates of the Caribbean -Tom Sawyer Island! For dining do not miss Cinderella's Royal Table. This is a restaurant that is located in Cinderella's Castle. I would recommend lunch or dinner here. You can book priority seating through Disney dining. The number is (407)-939-3463! Also the Blue Bayou is a neat restaurant to eat at because it is located in the Pirates or the Caribbean Ride! Both of these restaurants I would suggest priority seating unless you do not mind waiting a long time. Another tip is to have her look for hidden mickey's(mickey mouse heads hidden throughout the park!), this keeps her entertained while waiting in long lines! For the Magic Kingdom, I would start with an early morning at Peter Pan's Flight. You go directly down the park and you can actually walk through Cinderella's Castle on the way there. Then I would go through all the rides in Fantasy Land. Also you can take her to toon town where she can meet many characters and go on a little roller coaster geared toward her age group! Animal Kingdom- I would recommend going to these attractions and sights. +Dining -Safari(you and your daughter can ride jeep's and see some of africa's native animals, such as lions, giraffs, and zebras!) -Dinosour(If you daugter is does not get scared easily I would reccomend Dinosour) They also have many trails to see animals. I would recommend those for you and your daughter. Also I would recommend the Character Breakfast at animal kingdom. It is very good and you get to be the first one in the park. If you decide to do that you must get reservations. After you eat I would recommend going directly to Dinosaur or the Safari. One park I would not recommend would be MGM. There are to many thrill rides and not enough rides for your daughters age group. Epcot- This park is 3rd. But I would recommend it. -Firework show -Norway Ride -The ride in the big silver epcot ball! -The marine exhibits are very good at epcot and I would reccomend them for you and your daugter. There are many sites in Epcot and I would reccomend just going and seeing what you can get done. If you are staying at one of the Disney World resort's then you can build your own itinerary on DisneyWorld.com! Once you get there go to the top and you will see a thing that says "My Disney vacation" go there and you will see the link to build your own itinerary. Good Luck and have fun! Hope this helps you! |
