What are the things that Disney World Magic Kingdom has but Disneyland doesn't have? |
Travel Info Please name few things that I must see in Disney World Magic Kingdom which Disneyland California doesn't have since I've already been Disneyland so many times but I will be going to Disney World soon as my first time. Travel Tips I like this question. I've been to WDW multiple times, but never Disneyland, so I have been looking at this question in reverse for some time now. Ha. While I was looking at DL, I was surprised to find that it had some attractions not only from MK, but from other Disney Parks as well. So, here goes. Disneyland庐 Park Attractions Autopia, presented by Chevron (Tomorrowland Indy Speedway at MK) Davy Crockett's Explorer Canoes (not at WDW) Frontierland Shootin' Exposition Mad Tea Party Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin (not at WDW) Starcade Tarzan's Treehouse鈩?(Swiss Family Treehouse at WDW) Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Indiana Jones鈩?Adventure (not at WDW) Matterhorn Bobsleds (not at WDW) Rockin' Space Mountain Splash Mountain Star Tours (at MGM in WDW) Mickey's House and Meet Mickey Minnie's House Disneyland庐: The First 50 Magical Years (an equivilent at MGM, in the hat.) The Disney Gallery (has an equivilent at MGM) Innoventions (at Epcot.) Main Street Cinema (not at WDW) Pirate's Lair on Tom Sawyer Island Astro Orbitor Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters Enchanted Tiki Room, presented by Dole庐 (this is the original, MK is newer.) Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage (Resurfacing Summer 2007) (not at WDW) Gadget's Go Coaster, presented by Sparkle庐 (the equivilent of the Barnstormer) Haunted Mansion "Honey, I Shrunk the Audience," presented by Kodak (at Epcot) Jungle Cruise Mr. Toad's Wild Ride (not at WDW) Pirates of the Caribbean Snow White's Scary Adventures Alice in Wonderland (not at WDW) Casey Jr. Circus Train (not at WDW) Chip 'n Dale Treehouse (not at WDW) Donald's Boat Dumbo the Flying Elephant Goofy's Playhouse (not at WDW) "it's a small world" King Arthur Carrousel (Cinderella's at WDW) The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh Peter Pan's Flight Pinocchio's Daring Journey (not at WDW) Storybook Land Canal Boats (not at WDW) Disneyland庐 Monorail Disneyland庐 Railroad - Main Street, U.S.A. Disneyland庐 Railroad - New Orleans Square Disneyland庐 Railroad - Tomorrowland Disneyland庐 Railroad - Mickey's Toontown Fire Engine, presented by National Car Rental Horse-Drawn Streetcars, presented by National Car Rental Horseless Carriage, presented by National Car Rental Mark Twain Riverboat Omnibus, presented by National Car Rental Sailing Ship Columbia Magic Kingdom Attractions Space Mountain庐 Splash Mountain庐 Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor "it's a small world" Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin Cinderella's Golden Carousel Country Bear Jamboree Donald's Boat Dumbo The Flying Elephant Fantasyland Play Area Mickey's Country House Mickey's PhilharMagic Minnie's Country House Peter Pan's Flight The Enchanted Tiki Room Under New Management The Magic Carpets of Aladdin The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh Tomorrowland庐 Transit Authority Astro Orbiter Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Mad Tea Party Pirates of the Caribbean Snow White's Scary Adventures Stitch's Great Escape!鈩? The Barnstormer at Goofy's Wiseacre Farm Tomorrowland庐 Indy Speedway Frontierland庐 Shootin' Arcade Cinderella Castle Jungle Cruise Liberty Square Riverboat Main Street Vehicles Swiss Family Treehouse The Hall Of Presidents The Haunted Mansion Tom Sawyer Island Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress Mad Tea Party Walt Disney World庐 Railroad Attractions at MK but not DL Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress The Hall Of Presidents Stitch's Great Escape!鈩? Country Bear Jamboree Mickey's PhilharMagic The Enchanted Tiki Room Under New Management The Magic Carpets of Aladdin Swiss Family Treehouse Also, at MK, space mountain is a single seat, and splash mountain is a double seat, the opposite of DL. If you are going to the other parks at WDW, they have a lot more stuff, obviously. You will have so much fun! Hope I see you there! Others First, definitely check out Pirates of the Caribbean. WDW's version is not as good as what you have at Disneyland -- a trip on it will help you appreciate Disneyland's version that much better. We still have the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse (Tarzan hasn't taken over ours yet). There's the Enchanted Tiki Room "Under New Management" -- again, another attraction that is much better at Disneyland. WDW's Magic Kingdom still has the Country Bear Jamboree, so if you miss that at Disneyland, check it out. A few others: Hall of Presidents in Liberty Square Mickey's Philharmagic in Fantasyland Stitch's Great Escape in Tomorrowland Tomorrowland Transit Authority (a version of the old Disneyland Peoplemover) Make a point to ride the attractions that both parks have, as neither are the same and are unique in and of themselves. Have fun! Some things to see at DisneyWorld Magic Kingdom that are not at DisneyLand is: -The Country Bear Jamboree -Mickey's Philar Magic -The swiss family tree house -Monster's Inc Laugh Floor -Stitch's Great Escape That's about the only differences. The Cinderella Castle is bigger in DisneyWorld. DisneyLand actually has a lot more rides than DisneyWorld's Magic Kingdom. Hope this helps! Disney Expert Don't forget the Carousal of Progress in Tomorrowland. There used to be one at Disneyland but it was closed years ago.. I think they moved the whole thing to Florida. disney world is bigger I think the biggest difference I noticed between the two parks is the size of the Magic Kingdom. It is so much more spread out than Disneyland. Others have already said what rides are different, but few people talk about the distances. We went to WDW in 2004, and then DL in 2005. What I really noticed was how they spread out Magic Kingdom. It's essentially the same park but the distances are further. I realised in 2005 how much more my feet hurt from walking around Magic Kingdom. One thing others didn't mention was the fact there's no Toon Town. Its Mickey's Toontown Fair @ WDW. Way different than Toon Town. Some similarities but don't expect to find some of your Toon Town favs at toontown fair. |
