What is the best place to live in Tampa or Orlando? |
Travel Info We currently live in Miami and are very tired of the place...we were born and raised here and it's time for a change. I'm looking for an area that has good schools and good jobs. I can't decide if I should look in Tampa or Orlando. If someone could please shed some light I would appreciate it. If you can please suggest some of the surrounding areas to look into. THNX!!! Travel Tips I personally have always liked Orlando area better. There is so much to do in the area and less likely to have bad weather since we aren't as close to the coast or gulf of mexico. Seminole County (suburbs of Orlando) have great schools for children and they are building a new community college in Altamonte Springs area. There are plenty of places that are hiring-just have to dig to find them sometimes but I have had two family members move down here in the past few weeks and didn't have a problem finding a job! Others in Orlando most of the universities and collages are in the north suburbs. When i lived there i had a couple places in the Casselberry/WinterPark area. You will adapt better to Orlando than Tampa coming from Miami.Orlando drivers are like Miami and the roads are rough and congested like Miami.This is not sacrasm you have driving skills that will help you in Orlando because the streets have no organization.Your desire for an escape to a simpler way of life requires the isolation of a rural area. Tampa Bay will get a hurricane soon which will cause Orlando real estate to boom when people abandon the area and resettle inland.After hurricane Katrina people left New Orleans which caused a shortage of houses in Baton Rouge which is about the same distance as Tampa is from Orlando. Live where you make the most money and consider leasing a home to find out if you like the area.You ask much of your new location so I wonder if you really understand how Florida works.Running away from problems to Florida does not help and doing the same within Florida is futile also. |
