In 2004 Orlando was hit by three hurricanes, Charley, Francis and Jeane. Between 1960 and 2004, Orlando never even got close to a hurricane. The place was devastated beyond comprehention. Getting to Good Sam from Ocala was an ordeal lasting 6 hours. South Orlando had no electrical power, street lights didn't work, as I approcahed Kissimmee, the failed street lights were being watched by donut eating policemen.
