It is approximately 135 miles away from the city of Tampa. It is about 130 miles south of Tampa. I-75 will take you almost the entire distance. Cape Coral is in the Fort Myers area and is about 2 hours south of Tampa on I-75 (generally). Take I-75 south, get off at Tucker's Grade. Go west to U.S. 41, then south into Ft. Myers. You can follow the signs from there. You actually have 3 options to get out to the cape: 1. off the mainland directly et the top. 2. The Midtown Bridge at Colonial Blvd. 3.
