Does anyone know any cheap but safe places to stay in Orlando near Disney? |
Travel Info I was supposed to be staying with a friend but he has had to come back to the UK. Somewhere that books for short notice as I have almost 2 weeks before I leave! Help! Any advice would be great, thanks! Travel Tips Disney All Star Movies , an exellent hotel , free transport to the parks, good luck. Others Any hotel chain like Howard Johnsons, Best Western, Holiday Inn would be inexpensive. You could also try Disney's lower end hotels like the All Star Movies, Music or Sports. Get on the internet and start pricing, I'm sure you'll find something. Look also in Kissimmee, which is the nearest "city" to Disney, they have a lot of hotels there. You need to stay in the tourist areas because stepping off the beaten track is very dangerous in Florida. I stayed on International drive when I went when I was 17. We stayed in the Travelodge, which was fine, but if you are going alone I would reccomend paying a little bit extra and staying in one of the larger well known hotels. You can't put a price on your safety. There are plenty of places that meet your needs all over the area. Specifically for the Disney area, there's Meridian Orlando & Masters Inn that would fit the bill nicely. But, most of the hotels on the main road (Highway 192) are tourist friendly and safe, well-lit, etc. Check out http://www.tripadvisor.com/ to read up on what other folks have to say. Then, check out some online hotel reservation sites -- http://www.hotels.com/ and http://www.orbitz.com/ to name a few and see what's available -- you shouldn't have any problem finding availability for 2 weeks from now. Actually, head over to http://www.resideo.com/us/florida/kissim... -- choose your dates and sort the results by price. Have fun! There are very few places in Orlando I would consider safe or cheap. I would recommend staying on Disney property, the budget hotels (all star resorts) are reasonable. for other tips on getting out of Orlando alive check out www.orlandofloridasucks.com We've just stayed in the cheap & cheerful Wynfield Inn off International Drive near Seaworld. All we wanted was somewhere to sleep, wash & leave our stuff while we were out all day and it was fine for us. Book it through the Virgin website for the best deal we paid 拢12 per person, per night for 2 of us. hi, well there is a place called home suite home is $149 for the week and they take a $100 deposit refundable as long as you dont trash the room.if you are staying more than 1 week your price after the first week is $191 including tax.this place is 5 min from the disney gates.the phone # is (407)396-7300.be careful there is another one of these places down the road that is not the one you want! this one is 7300 w irlo bronson mem hgwy in kissimmee,fl.if you are staying less than 1 week then there are places like ramada, travelodge, days inn.look into hotels on u.s. highway 192 west. |
