Travel Info A family of 4 going to Disney,we have our tickets,have the dining plan and need to know how much to take-7 day Travel Tips I'm assuming you won't have to pay for transportation expenses; rental, parking, or gas. So if you're just asking about spending money I'd say to put your family on a budget. With about $200.00 or so Our daughter gets just about everything she wants on a 7 day trip. We usually make her wait until our last day or so to start her shopping excursion so she has time to browse all the shops before deciding what she really wants. Another thing we've also tried is to divide her money in equal amounts according to the number of days. She is allowed to spend that much only or save it for a big ticket item. As far as myself and my husband we are perfectly happy just watching her get what she wants. You may want to add another $40.00 for a snack each day; our family always tends to have the spiced nuts at Epcot and an occasional Mickey ice cream bar. Oh and one last thing don't forget to budget for tips. Have a wonderful time!! Others I usually take around $2000 dollars but that is without the tickets or the dinning plan. A $1000 should do it. The more you have the better because there is so much you are going to want to buy,But that's just me and also keep in mind snacks and drinks they are not cheap in the park.. Are you driving or flying? A good place to go if your driving for Disney gifts outside the parks is Wal mart in Kissimmee on 192 they have a whole lot of Disney things there and are alot cheaper too..Don`t go to the gifts shops that are on the main roads they are very expensive and the quality is not as nice .... resident of Kissimmee,Fla (MYSELF) those are the two biggest expenses. We are in the same situation. I am planning on about 100 dollars a day for incidentals. Not getting more than 3 or 4 souvenirs per person. This should be more than enough. This is a loaded question on so many levels...How old are the children? are they both same gender or boy and girl??? Are they 'into' certain Disney themes (Pirates, Princesses, Mickey, etc)??? Do you plan to shop at Downtown (read - World of Disney) Disney??? Do you have wine or beer with dinner (except at Magic Kingdom...no booze)??? It is impossble to answer without some prior knowledge...please write privately so I can share some of my experiences form honeymoon to being with a non-comsumer minded 2 year old! Scott W my head |
