If you've been to Animal Kingdom, do you think it's worth it? How long did it take for you to finish?

Travel Info
I'm trying to decide whether it'd be worth it to go over to Animal Kingdom, or should we just skip it? My daughter wants to go to Magic Kingdom (again!) and then over to Epcot for the afternoon/evening. We've never been to Animal Kingdom, so I was just wondering what people's views were on this park. Thanks!

Travel Tips
Animal Kingdom is worth the trip, for the coaster enthusiast...you definitely can't miss Expedition Everest, and maybe the small spinning wild mouse type coaster. Other thrill rides include Dinosaur, the River Rapids ride (rather boring...only thing cool is the 25 foot drop on the ride) and the Safari Ride at the back of the park where you get to see lions, giraffe, gazelle, and other African animals. But make sure you hit it in the morning when they are still awake. Also, you can visit some of the nature "reserves" and look at exotic animals like actual tigers, plus there is a bird show, the gorillas near the rapids. All in all its worth it to visit...but after wards...not too many things to return for so do visit now (the tickets are cheaper this year than the next year you come back).

The bus ride from Animal Kingdom to the Transportation and Ticket Center is less than 10mins....but factor in wait times....give it at least 20, maybe 30. Plus you must transfer to either the Magic Kingdom Express Monorail or Ferry Boats to complete your journey to the Magic Kingdom. So 30 mins to get there...should be your total travel time. Enjoy your time here in Orlando!

Yes it's worth it! Early morning is best as the animals are more active. It's alot smaller than the other parks and you can cover it fairly easily (depending on when you go!).
If staying in the park, watch for extra Magic hours where one park is open early /and or late each day. This can add great value to your visit!
Lot's of packages for Disney onsite stays now. Enjoy!
If you have a park hopper...go to the animal kingdom first thing in the morning...it's not really an all day park especially with younger kids...jump back to one of the other parks after animal kingdom....you'll have plenty of time plus animal kingdom closes early. Have fun....we've been there numerous times and have enjoyed it
i have been there 2 times and i would not reccomend it unless your daughter is into animals, because it is basically like a big zoo...i found it to be extremely boring because there are only really two rides a somewhat fun roller coaster and a water raft ride, so if you and your daughter are into looking at animals then i would say go for it but otherwise no
I went in March and it was the first park I hit, because I wanted to get it over with quickly since I always heard it was bad.

Ended up being one of the best parks I went to, they've added all kinds of new rides and it's just such a great place to go; especially if you have children.

As for Epcot, the only 2 things it has going for it are Test Track and Mission Space; they have a new ride where you're in a hang glider simulation but I waited 3 hours for it, and the wait/pleasure comparison wasn't worth it. They had a lot of cultured places since it has the worlds but it was still way too boring.

So yes, make sure you hit Magic Kingdom. It is definitely the best park there and you nor your daughter will be disappointed in going to Animal Kingdom.
It's not something that will take all day. We just got back and did the animal kingdom and epcot in one day. There isn't THAT much to do but there are a few rides and getting to see all of the animals up close was pretty neat!! But like I said don't plan on it taking all day.
`it is worth it, the animals are very active in the morning and you can get a lot of things done in the morning! I would suggest doing the safari right away so you can see the animals and don't have to wait in line. ALSO you really really really should go see the nemo show!! It is a new show there and it is AMAZING, I have seen many Broadway shows and `this short show is just as amazing as a Broadway production, if not better! IT IS SO COOL your kids will love it! The park is rather small so you can get everything done you want to with in a few hours! As far as the bus ride goes I want to say about 15 minutes, but you also have to give or take 5 or 10 minutes for late buses and traffic!!! You can take a bus right from Animal Kingdom to Magic Kingdom!

Whatever you decide have fun on your trip!!!
