Disney World Pool Hopping? |
Travel Info Before I get any rants, Im not going to pool hop to the pools I'm not supposed to... Its just out of curiosity.. How do they know if its not your resort?, Are the key cards different for each hotel or do you have to swipe your key or something? Thanks! Travel Tips On your Keys to the Kingdom card, your resort code is included within the numbers on it. At the Yacht Club/Beach Club pool (Stormalong Bay)about 4 years ago, they checked our cards and put a wristband on you. And at the top of the slide they checked to ensure that you had one on. I'm not too sure if they do this year round or just during peak times as we were there for Christmas. If you're a DVC member, you can hop to the pools at other DVC resorts, except for YC/BC and Animal Kingdom Lodge (I believe it's just those). Source(s): I asked a cast member when we stayed at the Beach Club Resort. www.dvcmember.com Other Travel Tips No rants here! I ctually do it everytime i visit wdw. No one knows, unless you act really rowdy or suspicious. All u have to do is stroll into the lobby and make your way to the pool. Most pools are accessed thru the lobby, and most dont need key cards. For the ones that do, you just yell to a person sitting near the pool that u forgot ur key and VOILA, they open the gate. As long as you arent going to do anything bad i say no harm no foul. i think as long as you are staying on disney property they allow you to come and go as you please. i like using the boats on the canals to resort hop. its a lot faster than the buses. It is allowed, as long as you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort that is! What resort are you staying at? If you are staying at either Port Orleans Riverside or Port Orleans French Quarter, you don't have to worry about getting caught pool hopping. These two resorts are sister resorts therefore you can use each other's pools. I think if you are staying at one of the All Star Resorts, then you can use anyone of those pools as well. As far as getting caught, like one poster had said, unless you act suspicious then it probably would be very hard to get caught. I never had to use a key to get into a pool on Disney property. Good luck and have fun on your trip. Actually pool hopping for forbidden unless you are a DVC member...then you can pool hop at DVC resorts (except Y&BCs Swim-a-long Bay). They DO check key cards...and quite often. If you want to risk it....go for it but I wouldn't recommend it. |
