Where would be the best restaurant to be at to watch Disney wishes show?

Travel Tips
If you are looking outside of Magic Kingdom, then I would say the Contemporary Hotel at Californial Grill. It is a restaurant at the very top of the Hotel, they have a balcany where you can have a great view of the fireworks. Beware a lot of people make their reservations for right before the fireworks start so they can enjoy them while they eat. However, I know that if you eat at an earlier time, just save your receipt and you can show it to the host/hostess when the time comes and they will let you in the restaurant again.

Another restaurant would be the Kona Cafe at the Poly. This resort is right across the bay from the Magic Kingdom. Our favorite thing to do, if you wanted to go after dinner is to stroll down to their white sandy beach, with cocktail in hand, and watch it from there....very romantic.

However, if you are looking for inside the Magic Kingdom park, I would have to say the Crystal Palace. This restaurant is right across from the castle and has many good viewing spots. This is a character meal where Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, and Eeyore come out. The food is buffet style and is very good. It is a lot cheaper than the previous restaurants that I have suggested. If you are taking little kids with you, then this will be your best option. Have a great time on your trip.

the contemporary, there is one on the California grill on the top floor and you can watch from the roof, or the one on the main level, the name escapes me. you can go outside on the balcony or even climb the stairs out there. the views are pretty good, not many people are there. its not exactly the same because it is not the same view to the castle but i loved it
Consider Cinderella's Royal Table -- it's actually a restaurant inside Cinderella Castle.

They broadcast the audio inside the restaurant and dim the lights.

Many of the Wishes fireworks are shot off right beside and behind the castle, and offer some amazing and unique views.

However -- timing your dinner with Wishes, at any restaurant, is tough. Although you make a reservation for a particular time, there's no guarantee you'll be seated at that time.

So -- you might want to head over to the Polynesian -- you can view Wishes from the beach. Or, watch from the Contemporary.

Have fun!
The absolute best viewing spot from a restaurant is the California Grill located on the top floor of Disney's Contemporary Resort. Reservations are strongly recommended, especially during firework viewing times. Be sure to reqeust a window-side table so you can get the best view. You can make reservations by calling Disney's Dining Line at (407) WDW-DINE (939-3463)
Ohana at the Polynesian. It overlooks the lagoon and has a great view. Request a window table.
I read numerous books before our first trip and they all said California Grill in the Contemporary Resort. We went there and to be honest it was just OK. The next trip we ate at the Crystal Place and it was much better.
