Disney resort question, Did you use the portable cribs at the resort? |
Travel Info Are they comfy for baby? How did you child like it? Our 17 month old will only sleep in her crib or a pack and play when we are at the inlaws. I'm trying to avoid bringing her pack and play on the plane with us and would love to know how other parents rate the disney cribs. Thanks! Travel Tips I thought that they were great, our daughter is not a very good sleeper and she seemed to do just fine. We asked for extra blankets and we doubled them so that it was extra "comfy" for her. Another idea is to ask for a room with a queen/king bed and bunk beds so that if she won't do the crib then one parent can sleep in the bunk and your child can sleep in bed with the other parent. We have done that option as well! We just got back from staying at the Disney Resorts in April, what fun! Good Luck! Others It has been a couple of years since we used one, but the "portable cribs" they advertise are actually pack and play playpens, more than likely exactly what you would end up bringing with you. Don't take yours, the pack and play they provide is adequate. Disney Vacation Club member When our daughter was 11 months old we took her to Disney World for the first time. She was an amazing baby from the second she was born and believe it or not she gave us no problems at night. However, when we got to DW she HATED their portable crib!!! She wouldn't sleep in it. We resorted to having her sleep with us (good thing we had a king size bed) which she enjoyed for the entire trip. Needless to say breaking her from that habit when we got home was horrific! I, too wasn't comfortable placing her in the crib which looks more like a play pen. It was very wobbly; it just didn't look safe to me or to my husband. I'd highly suggest bringing your own despite the inconvenience. Sorry I wish I had more positive things to say about it. =D no they stink |
