Express pass is ridicilious?

I got a years pass to islands of adventure and universal studios..was there over the weekend and i was beyond pissed that in order to wait in a shorter line at the attractions, you have to buy a express pass for $39.99 for each person in your party and that pass is only good for one time and one ride each. That's absouletly nuts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... I like the Disney way...fast pass and it's free

i have never bought he express pass, and yes it is nuts waiting in line i once stood in line for over an hour in the sweltering heat for shrek 3d, but its better than forking out all that money.

I know what you mean. We are going to Universal Studios and Island of Adventure in June, not intending to buy the express pass because for the 4 of us it would cost $160 just to be in a shorter line. I figure if the line is really long, then we would either skip it or go to that attraction another time. I too love how Disney does their fastpasses. I am hoping that Universal changes their ways soon.
they have express pass for free at each of the rides. what you might be thinking of is express plus, its good for one day at all the rides. no reason to buy it if you ask me.
There is another fast pass there that is like Disney's. I used it and paid nothing for it. I just slid my ticket in the slot and got a time to come back.

If you think that is nuts go to a 6 Flags, they charge more.
