Thinking Of Having A Week In Florida In November,Will The Disney Parks Be Decorated For Xmas?? |
Travel Info Thinking Of Having A Week In Florida In November,Will The Disney Parks Be Decorated For Xmas?? Travel Tips Yes, we went last year November 17-28 and it was glorious. At MGM the Osmond Lights, Christmas Trees in Hotels, resutraunts, Parks it was so beautiful. You'll find incredible Osborne light displays at the "Streets of America" (formerly New York Street.) Each evening, millions of twinkling bulbs are used to create a dazzling spectacle. Virtually every surface is illuminated. with angels flying overhead and "snow" falling, it's an experience that fills visitors with holiday cheer. To enhance this holiday tradition, 3-D glasses are distributed which provide a unique perspective of this amazing attraction. Elsewhere, you can expect to find the streets of MGM lined with garland, lights and wreaths. There's a charming old-fashioned feel to the decor that will bring back memories of holiday gatherings gone by. The Hollywood Holly-Day Parade Mickey and Minnie are the Grand Marshals and are decked out in their holiday finery. There's a cavalcade of cars decorated with wreaths and garland that feature some of the most beloved, and reviled, Disney characters. Yes, even the infamous Villains get in the holiday spirit in this fun parade. Click here for Pictures from past event The 2006 parade Hollywood Holly-Day Parade schedule has not been released. Others Later in November, yes.......................ever... is up by Thanksgiving. Maybe. Generally the week of Thanksgiving is when DisneyWorld is in full fledge Christmas mode. They start sometime after Halloween.... It takes sometime to decorate 4 parks, a dozen resorts, dowtown disney, and all the other misc. areas. I am sure someone else can give you a more specific answer but I thought I would pass along what I know as a former cast member. If you will be going on the last week of November, then they will be decorated for certain. I went last December 5-11 and it was fantastic!! I loved it all, but the absolute best was the Osbourne Family Spectacle of Lights at MGM park. Totally awe inspiring!! Don't forget to "visit" some of the resorts as they are all decorated for the holiday, too. We stayed off property, but went to see the Grand Floridian, the Contemporary and the Polynesian (these are all on the monorail route) and also we went to the Animal Kingdom Lodge. All were beautiful. Hope you get to see it! (When we were there in September, they were already putting up some of the lights at MGM!!! That is how many there are- it takes MONTHS to get ready!) yes, usually by mid-November they are all decorated. MGM is awesome with the Osborne Family light spectacular. Be sure to check that out. Double check the website for details on times and dates. |
