Travel Info I'm going to Orlando, Fl from 6/15-6/22. Forecast said that it would be raining a lot. Is that true? Travel Tips The forecast for that time period is: Temp High 90s, rain every day in the late afternoon, and multiple hurricanes in the evening... have fun on your trip! http://www.orlandofloridasucks.com... Others No matter when you go to Fl, it rains. But it's usually a light rain that doesn't last long, so don't let that keep you from going! It rains nearly every afternoon in Florida in the summer. As noted before, it usually comes quickly and ends quickly. The nice part in Orlando is that a lot of people go home, thinking the rain has ended their day at the parks, while you go right up to the front of the line, if you can brave the rain. Hunter http://www.guide2disney.com Lifetime Florida/Orlando resident You may get very wet in Florida but give it half an hour and you'll be completely dry! Why worry you're going to FLORIDA! Yahooooooooo! Have a fab time. In Orlando during a normal summer, you can almost set your watch by the afternoon showers. But, as others have said, while they CAN produce medium to high wind, and lots of rain, it is also true that they don't last long. Here in Florida we have an old saying: "if you don't like the weather, just be patient, in a half hour, it will change". These showers, especially around Orlando, can almost be counted on to show up between 3-5PM, and usually don't last any more than 45 minutes to an hour. these "squall lines" move across the state VERY quickly, so you can just plan around it. Use this time to see indoor things, or take a power nap, etc. There could be a day with no rain, but pack some ponchos and an umbrella to keep the rain from running down your face. Bring a change of shoes on your trip, nothing worse than putting on still wet sneakers in the morning, rubber sandals are great. If the forcast looks ok, pack some cheap emergency ponchos from the dollar store just in case. Cheap ponchos are also good for the water rides if you don't want to wait all day for your butt to dry. |
