Can any former Disney Cast Members tell me what it's like being a female Disney face character? |
Travel Info I would like to be a Disney face Character at Walt Disney World. I already know how to apply and everything. I just want to know what it's like at the auditions and what it's like on the job. If you ave any pictures or anything else you could show me please post the link because that would be helpful. I particularly want to be Ariel, but I'd take any face character job. I really don't want to be a character in one of those big fuzzy costumes. Travel Tips Be prepared to do a lot of dancing at the auditions. You will do one dance and then they will cut a lot of people from the auditions before teaching some more difficult dances. You will be measured in your stocking feet. [The height requirements for each character are *extremely* specific.] They will check out your face and smile, and then see your ability to act. The auditioners will make note of what characters they think you might be good to portray; you may have to go to several auditions. Once you are chosen for a certain character, you have to go to a school to learn everything about that character. You will learn how to sign that character's name so that all signatures look similar. You will also have to learn all the in's and out's about that character's universe so that if someone asks you a question, you will be able to answer in-character. There are also a *ton* of rules to learn. The job doesn't pay very much and can be very hot and stressful work, but everyone says that it's great fun!
