Travel Info Should i go to sea world, universal, or disney? Travel Tips It depends on what you are looking for in your trip. If you are only looking for thrill rides, hit Universal. If you are looking for all around fun, go to Disney. I personally am a bigger fan of Disney than the other two. There is so much more to do at Disney, with the 4 theme parks and 2 big water parks. I don't want to go on thrill rides all the time, if I wanted to do that I would go to Six Flags or make the trek to Cedar Point in Ohio. Universal has some fun things to do, but Disney has much more and IMHO more fun things. As for Sea World, it is o.k. but it is 1/2 to 3/4 of a day max. I was disappointed in Sea World on my last visit in April, in all but the Shamu show. That was fun, as was the Kraken roller coaster, but the rest of the park, not so much. I think your choices should be Universal or Disney, and I choose Disney. Source(s): Disney Vacation Club member Other Travel Tips It's been years since I've been to Orlando, but from my experience, I think I'd rate them as: 1. Universal Studios - I actually liked it better than Disney and Sea World. Universal had some really neat, unique rides, and just seemed like a more fun experience for those of us that are little kiddos anymore. Their rides are movie-based, so it's like you're getting to experience things from the movies - my favorite ride was the E.T. ride - it's like you're on a bicycle...pretty cool! I think they've gotten quite a few new things since then, and I hope to go back someday! 2. Sea World - I loved being able to feed/touch the different marine life. At the time, I was obsessed with dolphins, and thought it was great that I got to feed and "pet" them. 3. Disney - although if you have younger kids, this may be where you want to go. Wherever you choose to go, I hope you have a great time! :) out of the three my favorite was universal. disney is great if you have kids, sea world too. they have no scary rides if thats what you like. universal was great like they show u how they make the movies i loved it. I would go to disney because it has more to offer. They have four theme parks, magic kingdom, epcot, mgm, and animal kingdom. Plus lots of resorts. It depends. If you have kids, go to Disney. There is more stuff for kids to do at those parks so they will enjoy themselves more. Magic Kingdom is such a classic, every kid should go there at some point in their life! If you are a roller coaster person, then go to Universal Islands of Adventure. They have three big coasters there, (The Hulk, and Dueling Dragons [fire and ice]) plus other thrill rides such as Dr. Doom's Fear Fall and Spiderman. It also has great water rides such as Popeye's raft ride, and Dudley Do Right's Ripsaw falls. There is a great kid's area at IOA as well called Seussland. Islands of Adventure is great for all ages. I do not recommend Sea World unless you are a big fan of marine life. Most of the stuff there is just whale and dolphin shows, feeding dolphins and sting rays, and educational stuff. There is a big roller coaster called Kraken, a motion simulator called Wild Arctic, and a water ride/coaster called Journey to Atlantis, but those are the only good rides. Everything else is pretty lame. Getting to interact with the animals is neat though, so if you're an animal person then you might like Sea World. It all depends on your personal preferences. I would personally choose a day out at Universal Islands of Adventure, but Disney is amazing as well. live in Orlando, been to all 3 many times |
