What else is there in Florida? |
Travel Info My daughter is physically challenged and wheelchair bound. We are taking a trip to florida and I was hoping there was something besides disney for her to do. Do you have any suggestions? Travel Tips Check into swimming with the dolphins at Discover Cove. I am pretty sure that they could do something with/for her depending on the extent of her handicap. This is certainly something that would be quite memorable for her. Opps that is supopsed to be Discovery Cove here is a link http://www.discoverycove.com/default2.as... It is not cheap but worth it, in my opinion. Others walk around by the beach eat @ the amazing seafood boardwalk restuarants! The EVERGLADES, man. You have to see the Everglades. Wheel chair accses an' everything. AMAZING. WALK DOWN SOUTH BEACH!! GO DOWN THE STRIP WALK INTO LITTLE SHOPS GO TO THE BEACHES! hope this will help http://www.baynews9.com/content/34/2004/... yes the swimming with dolphins is a must, they also have a park to do that at seaworld. in fact make sure you visit seaworld for the amazing shows it is much more fun than disney in my opinion. This is not specific to the physically challenged, but Cypress Gardens is a nice alternative to the crowds that places like Disney have, especially at this time of year. I hope you have a nice trip! |
