Travel Info Bongo's ...in downtown disney...i heard bad reviews..anyone been there? Travel Tips I've been there several times and I've always really liked it. As with any restaurant, the staff and chef will really make the difference of what your experience will be. Like I said, I've never really had any problems, I think it is worth checking out. Other Travel Tips I went there this past March. It's a very nice restaurant with a small store in the entrance. I went with 2 of my sisters and we enjoyed the food there as well as the drinks. We went during the day, so, the band wasn't playing at the time ~ I would recommend this restaurant but go during the evening when the band is playing. You will generally find that many of the restaurants at Downtown Disney are "mass-service" restaurants that serve very large volumes of guests and therefore put more emphasis on themeing and ambience then actual food quality. The food is not always bad, but its not excellent either. If your looking for a good quality dining experience I recommend you look into on of Disney's signature table-service restaurants throughout the resorts and parks. Never eating Cuban I asked the waiter what to have, he suggested the house steak, Skirt steak with chi churry sause, honestly after eating there that night I went there 3 more time in that trip. Very cool restaurant very cool music and dancing, really a going out kind of feeling. Try the skirt steak I went (didn't go inside) but its a Nice Cuban restaurant and they play lotsa salsa music and u can even dance inside and they have a shop on the outside u can buy cuban-gear. its cool. I would definitely go there (i was with my cuz last time this tmie im bringing my bf who is cuban he would love it) Hi! I have been there in the past....i think its a good food place.
