What are the must see attractions/shows/rides in Disney World, Orlando in one day? |
Travel Info I am a 25 year old. I have only one day left in Orlando after my business trip. I am planning to get a One day magic your way ticket with park hopper option. On July 3rd the Magic Kingdom is open until 1 am and all other parks are open til 10 PM. I know I can't cover even half of the attractions. But I wanted to plan so that I can see atleast the most important attractions in all the four parks. Also does Disney world have fast passes? Thanks! Travel Tips I strongly suggest you read up a bit on http://www.allearsnet.com and make sure you see everything you want to see! Fast passes are FREE at Disney. But the time of year you are going, they will probably be gone early in the day. So I wouldn't count on them. I agree with another poster who said you should park at the Magic Kingdom and then transport from there. You can use the monorail and buses to get between parks. Then you'll be at the right place when you leave. Personally, I would pick out 2 parks to do and not try to get them all. But that being said, here are the "signature" attractions, mostly thrill rides. Magic Kingdom - Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, and Big Thunder Mountain. Also, if you have time, Haunted Mansion, and Pirates of the Caribbean (CLASSICS)! Epcot - Soarin, Test Track, Mission:Space. The back part of this park is the World Showcase, but you really have to take a leisurely stroll through this part and explore to get the effect. So I would not even go into the back section. Studios - Tower of Terror and Rock n Roller Coaster (right beside each other). If you have time, I still love Star Tours and Muppets 3D, even if they are outdated. And the Great Movie Ride is still fun. Animal Kingdom - Expedition Everest and the Kilimanjaro Safaris. Animal Kingdom is part zoo, and that means you are supposed to take your time here and look at the animals. If I was going to pick one park to skip, this would be it. Have fun! Others Yes it does have fast passes but you have to pay extra to get it..A must see is Magic Kingdom...In animal kingdom go to the Asain side of the park because it has an extremely good rollercoaster...In Epcot go to the part where they have all the different cultures which is over thee bridge....its quite fa r from the entrance but its the best part of Epcot center...Hope this helps!!! Good luck.... The Philharmonic show at Disneyworld is definitely worth it. It's a cute 3-D show featuring Donald Duck. I recommend it. You also want to see the Haunted Mansion. Get a fast pass for this to prevent the long waits. The Pooh ride is cute when you enter the Tigger area because you bounce in the ride. Space Mountain is a fun but not scary roller coaster and Splash Mountain is good to cool you off. And don't forget Big Thunder Mountain. All of these rides take fast passes and I recommend you get one for each. Please know that you can only get one fast pass at a time. So you have to schedule your rides. And I'd take the monorail over to Epcot. The countries are definely worth visiting. Disneyworld does have the fast pass system. If you can stay at a Disney Hotel, you can get the extra magic hour in the morning and after closing time. You will have a very hard time getting a fastpass for the big rides (and these are all the big rides) after 11 AM Arrive 1 hour before the parks open My "must see" for all of disneyworld are: Animal Kingdom: Expedition Everest Tough to be a bug Kilamanjaro Safari if you have time:Dinosaur MGM Studio: Rock n Roller Coaster Tower of Terror Star Tours If you have time: Sounds Dangerous Epcot: Mission Space Soarin' Test Track Magic Kingdom:(in order of importance) Splash Mountain Space Mountain Pirates of the Carribean Mickey's Phillharmagic If you have more time: Buzz Lightyear The haunted mansion is excellent, but it will be closed sometime this summer for rehab-ride it if it's open. Also, the Magic Kingdom fireworks are not to be missed, make your way somewhere infront of the castle for the best view as the show is centered over the castle. Fastpasses are free, you have to go to the fast pass machine near the ride entrance and put your themepark ticket in. It will spit out your ticket and another piece of paper with a time to return to the ride later. LOOK AT THE RETURN TIME on the clock above the machines before you get the fast pass because you might leave the park before the return time and should opt not to get the fastpass. www.allearsnet.com www.touringplans.com= if you want to do only one whole park in a day- only bother doing that with the Magic Kingdom or MGM Studios. Okay, You best bet is to start at magic Kingdom. This will allow you to keep your car at the parking lot and not worry about the park closing. Disney provides free transportation to all it's parks. Do not go into the magic Kingdom instead take the monorail to Epcot. If you do not get seasick go to mission to mars. Also get a fast pass to Fast track. ( No you do not pay extra for fass passes- you do to a machine and use your ticket to get the pass.) It's a fun ride. Next take the bus to MGM studios. Must ride rock n roller coaster. Eat at the ABC commissary. They have cheap lunches. You may want to hit tower of terror before lunch. You can get a fast pass for this ride on your way to rock n roller coaster.( You are only allowed 1 pass per 1 to 1 1/2 depending how busy the parks are). Then you can skip Animal Kingdom. Take a bus back to Magic Kingdom and spend the rest of your day/night there. Most of the rides mentioned by the other contributors are great. Make sure to drink plenty of water. ( Take a backpack with your own water-Disney allows you to do this.) Wear plenty of sunscreen-July is very hot in Florida. ( I have lived here for 10 years. Have fun!!!!!! Do what tpawolf advd on parking at the Magic Kingdom if you are not staying on Disney property. If you are going to be by yourself, some of these rides will have single rider lines. I would advise on taking that route. At EPCOT, go to Mission:Mars and Fast Track. They are next to one another. Soarin' is good as well which is straight across over at the Land. You really do not have too much time to see the different countries. They are a little boring if you are looking for just good rides. Then go to MGM, in there, go to either Tower of terror or Rock 'n' Rollercoaster to get a fast pass. These two rides are next to each other. Then go to the other one to ride first. hopefully by the time you are out from the 1st one you will be able to get to do the 2nd one. Star Tours is an ok for the 3rd ride. There are not too many rides per se at MGM to do. Next would be to go to Animal Kingdom. Asia is the place where the newest rollercoaster is located. I liked it a lot. Dinosaur is a nice one to go to as well in Dinoland. You can do the safari ride in Africa if you would like. The Tree of Life is in the middle of the park which has a 3-D show that is funny. Since you are going in July, the Dinosaur ride and It is great to be a Bug show would be good to "cool off". There are a couple of nice shows to see if you do have time. I doubt you would though. Lastly since it is open till 1am, Magic Kingdom. I like Buzz Lightyear and Space Mountain in tomorrowland. If you have time, you could do the race cars. Fantasyland is next, PhilharMagic is good show to see and Pooh's ride is one of the better ones in Fantasyland. The Haunted Masion is a fan fav of mine. I try to go in it every time I go. That is on your way from Fantasyland to Frontierland. In frontierland, go to Thunder Mountain Railroad and Splash Mountain. These two are next to each other. After that to Pirates of the Carribean. If yo uhave time you can just walk around the Magic Kingdom. Most of these rides and shows have FastPass option. Though if you do not get there early, they may be out. The FastPass, or FP, on the Disney guides are free. Have fun on that free day. My Favorite attractions are definitely Kilimanjaro Safaris It鈥檚 Tough to Be a Bug Primeval Whirl Maharajah Jungle Trek Rafiki鈥檚 Planet Watch Dinosaur attraction Festival of the Lion King Kali River Rapids Pangani Forest Exploration Trail Yes Disney World does have fast passes, use them wisely. |
