Ideas on how to surprise my kids about upcoming trip to Disney?

Travel Info
My kids are 6 and 11 and I would like good way to surprise them with this trip to disney, we are going in aug and they still have no Idea.

Travel Tips
Given their age, I think it would be more fun to tell them in advance, since half the fun is the upcoming excitement, telling all their friends, and getting excited about it. You just might want to wait another couple weeks for your own peace and quiet lolol.

Then why not take a weekend day and do all things Disney. Maybe make Disney waffles (I actually have a Disney waffler and toaster so that might be easier for me to suggest than you lol), but you can always find ways to make things into a Mickey shape since it's just 3 circles lolol. Have Disney music playing. Maybe start watching a Disney DVD. But just do one Disney thing after another until they start noticing and maybe asking questions!

Or maybe have a Disney scavenger hunt (as simple or complicated as you feel like making it) with the end prize being something that shows a Disney vacation.

And some Disney balloons might be fun for whatever you do. But I think just suprising them on the way down will take some of the fun out of it for them, don't you think??? Heck, I'm no kid (well other than at heart lol) and I still get excited thinking about a trip down there. Anyway lucky kids!! Have a BLAST!
Others
If you need to travel a long way, you can probably tell them you are going to see a long lost relative...and not tell them ANYTHING until you get there.
What i did was buy them a DVD. Have them watch it on the road or in the plane and then latter suprise them. Or what I have never done but heard, you can order Mickey Mouse hats form Orlando on the web and lay them on there beds one night saying your going to Disney World! I would love to do that.
Last Trip
I surprised my son with a trip to Disney last year in October. My husband took my son to a movie, and I packed our suitcases and stashed them in our garage. My husband loaded them in the car before he left in the morning, and then we picked our son up for school and told him he had an appointment. He didn't suspect a thing! When we got close to the airport, I handed him a note from his grandpa that said "Have fun at Disney World." It was a great surprise, and everyone was in on it - his teachers, our families, my boss... You can't beat a surprise like that - I'm sure you will think of something spectacular that fits in your situation. Best of luck - have a great time!
Get Disney postcards from there favorite characters and write "can't wait to see you in August" or "See you when you visit" then mail them. Not only will your kids get a surprise, but they will get mail which kids LOVE to get!

You can also do this on your last day at Disney, but say "Thanks so much for visiting, I hope to see you again" and mail them. this way when your kids get home a few days after the trip they have a postcard from their favorite character as well. There friends will be so jealous that they got TWO postcards from the characters and your kids will be a hit!
I would do like the other person said about packing the suit cases and not letting them see. If you are driving or flying then i would buy Pins, stuffed animals, autograph books, Mickey Ears, maybe even park maps in advance. Give these iteams to them, one by one, on the way there. (minus the pins though if you are flying) You could also get them the Modern Marvels: Walt Disney World and have them watch it on a portable dvd player. Other iteams you could get would be different music from the attractions or movies. For you're eleven year old have him or here read the book "Kingdom Keeper" by Ridley Pearson. Or give them they're theme park passes on at the last minute if you've all ready have them. Or if you're flying and the kids hear the "Now boarding Flight XYZ to Orlando at Gate 123" then once you get to florida just drive around and give them the iteams.
-Another really good one would be to wake them up at the crack of dawn and do the "GET UP! GET UP! GET DRESSED WE GOTTA GO" in schock they really won't be paying attention. and then you could give them the kids book to walt disney world http://www.amazon.com/birnbaums-walt-dis... and tell them to read it and tell you what they think.
-On the intercot board a lady suggested buying a disney kiddy puzzle and divide up the pieces by 2 stick them in an envelope and then on the morning of give it to them and tell the to put it together and think what it means.
-My final idea is to just give them pictures that are from disney but you wouldn't recognize them. and put them in places they would find them (such as your resort, inside of different rides, ect...)
