Magic kingdom?

Travel Info
ok, we plan to visit mk tomorrow and want to see the fireworks, by experience i know the kids wont be able to stay all day so what do you think about us visiting later in the day, say, 4pm, and stay late?

Travel Tips
This is a good time to go. When you go see the fireworks, go into the tea garden. It is next to the path to Tomorrowland from the end of Mainstreet. You need to get there early (30 minutes before the fireworks) and be near the big tree. At the end of the fireworks Tinkerbell will fly from the castle right over you head! You get a great view of the fireworks also. We have seen Wishes at least 10 times and never get tired of it.

TIP-make sure the kids have something to eat and/or drink while you are waiting for the fireworks so they are not bored. You may also want to get them a light up toy to play with while waiting. Both my kids were older(11 and 8) when we saw the fireworks and were ok waiting.

I have lived in Florida for 10 years and a season passholder for Disney.

that sounds like a great plan
What we usually do is go to Animal Kingdom in the day because they close early. Then we go over to Magic Kingdom or Epcot and stay all night. I don't know how many kids you have or how old they are, but sometimes we go straight to the other park and if my daughter goes to sleep, we go shopping and look at things that she probably wouldn't like anyway.
4pm is a little too late, you will not have enough time to see many rides or attractions, especially those with longer lines. A good time to arrive at the park is around lunchtime, that way you have the whole afternoon to enjoy the park and watch the fireworks in the evening. Have Fun!
Also a passholder here!!! I agree, you should go to another park during the day like MGM or Animal Kingdom and go to Magic Kingdom later. If this is the ONLY day at Magic Kingdom, then you should be at that park all day. The kids will hold! Believe me, I have little ones and they end up with more energy than us! If you will visit Magic Kingdom at another time, then 3-4ish is good, since the park is closing a lot later this time of year. You have at least a good 6 hours to enjoy it.
We just got back from WDW last week. I have a 11 year old and a 3 year old. So, depending on how young your kids are, you may try this, It worked great for us. (By the advise of the book "The Unofficial Guide to WDW 2007"), We arrived at MK right at opening time. We went straight to a ride that we wanted to ride that had a fastpass, and got those for later, then preceeded on to other things. We stayed until around noon (that's when it really starts getting busy at the park), then we went back to the hotel for a nap. We came back to the park later, refreshed and ready to stay the rest of the day and to see the show! Hope you have a great time, we sure did!!
