What is a better water park at Walt Disney world? |
Travel Info Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon? Why? Travel Tips Compared to Wet n Wild they suck. Drive the 8 miles and have fun. Others I love Typhoon Lagoon. We stayed at the wave pool all day with a brief ride in the lazy river. It was the perfect place for myself and my niece and nephew who are swimmers but my sister as a non swimmer enjoyed herself with the 3 yr old. The 6 ft. waves are so large they come all the way up to shore! My sister had no problem keeping cool. Blizzard Beach, better rides The opinion I have gotten is that Typhoon Lagoon is better for the younger kids while Blizzard Beach is geared to the teenagers and above. They are both excellent aquatic amusement parks. In the city of Orlando on International Drive you will find Wet and Wild the aquatic amusement park that started it all here in Orlando is still considered to be the best. Get wet and have fun here in Orlando. you may almost forget about the beaches that are nearby. Both parks are a lot of fun and have their perks! In my experience, Typhoon Lagoon is more of a relaxing water park. However, it also has a few thrill water rides! The Wave Pool is one of the largest in the nation and it is also home to Crush N' Gusher - Disney's only up-hill water slide! It is like a roller coaster on water and a lot of fun. Typhoon also has a snorkel attraction at Shark's Reef and a really fun lazy river. Blizzard is designed for adventure seakers! This park is larger and has more slides than Typhoon. Thrill rides here include Summit Plummit, a sheer drop! This park also has the best kiddie play area of the Disney parks. However, everything here is white and we all know what happens with white and sun. So if you are fair skinned, be sure to really slather on the sunscreen or cover up!
