Best Disney Resort? |
Travel Info What is your favorite Walt Disney World resort? Tell me about your experience and what is was like. I'm thinking of going there soon. Travel Tips It depends on how much you would like to spend, but the best hotel on resort property is the Grand Floridian Hotel. It is a huge Victorian themed hotel that sits right on the lake! Absolutely beautiful! There are many pools and one has a great water slide. For transportation convince, this hotel is the best. It has the monorail system, bus system and the ferry service(ferry to magic kingdom). The Magic Kingdom is only one stop away on the monorail which makes it extra convenient! I just recently stayed there at the end of April and it was amazing. The service was impeccable! We arrived about 9pm and we checked in. Originally we had booked two magic kingdom view rooms that were connecting. They did not have any connecting rooms available so they upgraded us to the Everglades Suite! It was amazing. I would definitely recommend that suite. It has two bedrooms, three bath, dining and living rooms and a kitchen. It also has a huge deck overlooking the water. This is also a very convenient room because it is on the first floor! All the parks are amazing and if you stay at the grand, I know you will have an awesome time!! Source(s): Experience and former florida resident Other Travel Tips DIsney is for people with mental illness Never been to Disneyworld when I was a little kid. Dineyland's all kiddie rides. Disney California Adventure's kinda cool. They at least have a roller coaster and drop tower. EPCOT is getting somewhat dated, but I still find it the most interesting. If you have young kids, then the Magic Kingdom would be best. Teens will like the Animal Kingdom and MGM. Adults will like EPCOT, the Animal Kingdom and MGM. If you're looking for wild rides, then Universal Islands of Adventure is the place to go (not a Disney property). You can save mucho $$$$ by not staying on a Disney property. There are many nice hotels in Orlando and the surrounding areas. Orlando is the king of the chain restaurant, so dining will be a consistent (if not interesting) experience. One place worth eating at is Bahama Breeze. As far as hotels on property, we like Caribbean Beach at Walt Disney World, because it's moderately priced, centrally located, and you can request Trinidad South and not be in the middle of all the hustle and bustle. The Grand Floridian is the best. We stayed there on the concierge level, and it was heaven. You got free breakfast, lunch and free cocktails in the evening in a private lounge. The monorail is right there, and the resort is beautiful. |
