Average time between disney hotel and parks? |
Travel Info OK. I am going to Disney in Sept. and I am trying to plan out our itinerary and figure out if I need to change the times of our dinner reservations. We are staying at the Pop Century Resort. How long does it take on average to get to the following places from that resort? Typhoon Lagoon Magic Kingdom MGM Studios Epcot Animal Kingdom Boardwalk Downtown Disney Also, on average how log does it take to get from park to park? Even if you can just tell me one time it woud be helpful. THANKS! Travel Tips The web site - our laughing place - has just what you are looking for. See the link below for more info. Typhoon Lagoon takes 19 minutes Magic Kingdom takes 22 minutes MGM Studios takes 15 minutes Epcot takes 15 minutes Animal Kingdom takes 20 minutes Boardwalk takes 40 minutes because there is no direct link to travel from one resort to another resort. You need to transfer at a theme park or Downtown Disney or the ticket and transportation center. Downtown Disney takes 15 minutes. This all depends on how long you wait for the bus. the site recommends adding 5 to 10 minutes to the travel time. Traveling between theme parks depends on where you are and where you want to go and how you want to travel. For example: Epcot to Disney Studios takes 13 minutes by bus (assuming you are at the main entrance) or 35 minutes by boat (assuming you are at the international gateway). The site will give you estimates on traveling from park to park . You will also need to add the time it takes to get to the bus stop and the time it takes to get from the bus stop to where you want to go. The parks are huge and if you are at the back of a theme park it can take a long time to get to the exit. Source(s): http://www.ourlaughingplace.com/asp/twiz... Other Travel Tips Since you are staying in the Value resorts, you are at practically the ENETRANCE to Disney. You get picked up first and dropped off last. When I went, we stayed at the movie one and it took about 15-20 to get from our hotel to the parks. Animal Kingdom took a bit less since it was closer. From Park to Parks probably anywhere from 5-10. Your hotel will have bus schedules. They come like every 20 minutes I think. So you should be ok and won't miss your reservations. I know if you do the Luau and go to MK they will have a boat from MK to the resort, same with the Hoopty Doo Review =) Once you get on the bus, it doesn't take long to get anywhere, 15-20 minutes. Supposedly buses run "constantly," but... sometimes you end up waiting. A good rule of thumb is give yourself an hour to get from one place to another. Usually, it won't take that long, but once in a while it will. Allow yourself at least 1 hour, regardless of where you're headed. It doesn't usually take this long, but it's better to be safe than sorry, as there may be transportation issues at times. The vehicles are well maintained, but handicapped guests and families with babies/strollers do need additional time to board, traffic is unpredictable when you're utilizing bus transportation, etc. Disney does it's very best to provide high quality service in ALL areas, but they cannot control the circumstances 100%, and they extend the same courtesy to ALL guests, which is one of the reasons I love going there so much! Actually, you are going during one of the best times of year - smaller crowds, beautiful weather, etc. Relax and ENJOY! only a few miutes. you might have to wait a few minutes for the bus to show up. give it 20 miutes and you will be fine We'll if you are using there buses you will have to add more time beacuse it takes a while to get to each park and shoping areas. With a bus it could take 30 min to wait and 10 min to get there. If you have your car it is shorter. Use the maps online to figure how long it is. You can look online or go to a travel store to see how long the ride is to the park. It all depends on the part of the year and what time it is. |
