Disney Resort!?!?

Travel Info
hello everyone, im going to be going to Walt Disney World in Florida in july and i just would like to know what is the best resort to stay in while there?...my family is thinking of staying at the polynesian, has anyone been there and if so how is it...Thank You!

Travel Tips
Staying at the Polynesian is good because it's on the monorail, but you may also want to consider which park you plan to spend the most time in. To get to Epcot you will have a longer ride (maybe even have to change lines - can't recall exactly) from the hotels considered part of the "Magic Kingdom." They offer a comparison chart to help you decide which place is right for you at http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/res...

Any of the hotels on the Disney property will be fine. The difference between the deluxe, moderate & value levels has to do with the room decor and distance from parks. At the Polynesian you'll get fancy pillows on the bed, nicer lotion, nicer quality linens and you can take the monorail from the hotel to the parks. At the All-Star Resort you will not get any decorative pillows, fancy lotion or fancy linens and you'll have to ride the buses to get to the parks, but the room will be clean and very servicable.

i stayed there a long time ago and it was great. The best thing about staying "on property" a term meaning within the grounds of Walt Disney World, is that buses provided by Disney run everywhere on the grounds and you can get to any park without having to drive. it is great.
The polynesian is fantastic, the service is bar none. The food fantastic and the decor devine. If you seriously want to go in July of 07, make your reservations today. I hope you get a room.
I am going next Sunday, and my family is staying at the polynesian. I took the tour, and it looks awesome!!! I hope you get a room, we just booked it in May, and we luckily got a room. I hope you get a room, and I hope you enjoy your stay. The rooms look fantastic, and we're so excited. The one I wanted to stay at was the Wilderness one, with the animals roaming around, but if you have kids coming along under the age of 2...I wouldn't stay there, because of the animals, and the baby. I hope you have a great time!
If you have the money and want some of the best accommodations in Disney, in Orlando for that matter, then the monorail hotels are by far the best. Grand Floridian and Polynesian top the list for me and Contemporary is pretty great as well.

I go to Disney several times a year and Polynesian is almost always where I stay, but to get a little variety I will stay at Grand Floridian, Contemporary, Yacht and Beach Club, Boardwalk or the villas. These are my favorite resorts.

Have a great time!
best to stay at villa. More privacy and freedom. Great for relaxing in the evenings

The Polynesian is nice overall, has really amazing food and the grounds are beautiful. However, I have recently found the rooms not up to par. The shower had mold (which Disney took care of once it was reported), and it was a bit outdated. If you are going to shell out the big bucks for a Disney Deluxe Resort, I recommend staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge (best hotel in my opinion), the Contemporary (which has recently been rennovated), or the Wilderness Lodge... and just visit the Poly for a fun meal or shopping.
