Purse in Disney World? |
Travel Info I am going to disney world and I wanted to know if it is safe to take a purse in with me? And if I can take it what should I do with it when I go on rides? Travel Tips I suggest a fanny pack. I know, it sounds stupid but if you really need to carry stuff, a fanny pack is the safest way because you don't carry it, it stays on your waist. Bringing a purse is the biggest pain because when you get on the ride you have to either hold it, or you have to leave it where you got on the ride. Not a safe bet. If you don't even need to bring anything with you.. that's the best way to go! Just put some money and your ticket to get in the park in your pocket and you should be set! Others Rides do cause problems, back packs and fanny packs are much easier to keep up with. I know fanny packs are dorky, but on rides they sure are easy. Leave the purse! Security Disney cast members are only going to go through it before you enter every park and this takes time away from the fun. It will also get in the way on rides and if you forget and leave it somewhere forget about it. Enjoy your trip without all the extra baggage and worry. Yes, it's safe to take. Security will probably have you open it at the gate, though. I've never had any problems with taking bags on rides, as long as they aren't too bulky. Just put it around your arm and/or over your head, possibly tuck it behind your back. Some rides it may get wet, so you may want to consider a waterproof bag instead. Or you could rent a locker at any of the parks (near the front) to store things until you need them. teenagers sometimes take purses, but i would really reccomend after being there 7 times, and going again for my 8th next februrary that you should get a disney themed tote bag, because when you go everybody is into the disney clothes, and they all have tots with like mickey or tinker bell...and on rides they usually have places to put them inside of the ride like in a basket or cargo net in front of your feet. have fun!! of course! i take it all the time!trust me, people are nice there and there not going to take your purse. wear it on your shoulder so they cant take it off.where else are you going to keep your belongings?camera?money?map?ti... tacs?sunglasses?lipgloss?you need these things. I find that a tote bag or backpack (I prefer tote bags) are MUCH more practical, and secure. All rides have room or areas to put them, thieves are FAR less likely to grab a bigger bag (and if they try you are far more likely to see them lol), and at Disney I know there is ALWAYS stuff I want to carry around. Usually a hoodie for am or pm, sometimes sneakers or flip flops so I can mix it up, sunscreen, sunglasses, dig cam, sometimes rain poncho lol, most of my purse junk (sometimes I toss a small purse IN the tote). And it makes it easy to toss in maps, misc Disney purchases, etc. A great tip is be sure to pack and toss in a couple zip lock bags--esp the big ones--for dig cams etc on any water rides. That would be my recommendation. And there are lots of adorable Disney totes (edited that someone mentioned same thing as I was typing...they ARE cute! The old Disney Gallery had lovely ones), that add to the fun. I'd go for that both for convenience and safety! |
