Has anyone stayed in the sheraton safari in lake buena vista? |
Travel Info what is it like? thanks in advance xxx Travel Tips Wow I am really surprised by anne T's answer! I stayed there in 2001 and again in 2003 and was quite impressed! They must have made major changes since 2000. It is a fun atmosphere for both children and parents, however, it can be a bit pricey. For the same price, you could stay at a Moderate Disney Resort such as Coronado Springs or the Port Orleans Resorts (approximately $145 a night on up). Or, save a bit of money and stay at a Disney Value Resort ($89 a night) or off property at the Nickelodean Resort ($114 a night) or the Best Western Lakeside ($69-$89 a night in the off peak season). Be sure to visit http://www.easybreezyplanning.com... There you can sign up for a free Disney E-newsletter, read up on fun tips and advice, watch fun Disney movie previews, purchase discounted Disney park merchandise and receive assistance with planning your Disney vacation! Have a wonderful trip! Source(s): Former Disney Cast Member www.easybreezyplanning.com Other Travel Tips Have you looked at trip advisor? It's a great site for checking out hotels before you book. There's lots of reviews of the Sheraton Safari. http://www.tripadvisor.com/hotel_review-... YES WE STAYED THERE IN 2000, I T WAS A REALLY BAD HOTEL, THE TOLIET DIDN'T WORK, THE WATER SLIDE WAS DOWN, THE FOOD WAS AWFUL, COULDN'T EVEN GET A MIXED DRINK,(BLENDER WAS BROKE) UNLESS THEY HAVE MADE ALOT OF UPDATES,I WOULD NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN, WE GO TO ORLANDO EVERY YEAR YOU CAN EMAIL ME ANNIESLION@YAHOO.COM I have been there twice. It's very close to the entrance to Downtown Disney Market Place and a shopping center with plenty of chain restaurants. Also nearby is Dunkin Donuts so you can grab a quick, cheap breakfast. The rooms are big and the beds are queen sized. The pool has a snake waterslide. I like it, but I like staying on Disney property too, so we usually squeeze into a little room at the Pop Century. Cramped, but closer to the mice. |
