During a character meal (these are usually buffets) the characters travel around from table to table to pose for pictures. Certain characters are at certain restaurants. If you like Pooh & Friends, definitely go to the Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom. I am not a fan of Pooh, but my nieces are and I found it to be one of the best times I have had at a character meal. (I have been to 3 so far) The restaurant itself is sooo beautiful! Others the price varies based on which park and which characters. You don't get to choose who you see, the same characters appear each time. This link also shows who appears at each meal. Characters are not guaranteed, they could change, but normally don't. The character dining ranges a lot basically its a buffet/table service restaurant and characters will come around and hang out for a few minuets take some pictures sign an autograph and such. There are many character breakfast and each on has differernt characters that may show, there is no definate. Well, that is not entirely true: Chef Mickeys always has Mickey and Friends and the Crystal Palace has Pooh and friends.
