Rides at Disney, Florida?

Travel Info
Hi

Can anyone recommend any slow rides at Disney in Florida.

I like rides like Soarin'

I have been considering rides like Fast Track and Mission Space, I assume Mission Space is just experiencing what it could be like up in a rocket?

Thanks
Andrew

Travel Tips
There are tons of great slow rides at Disney World. Here are some and the name of the park they are in...

MAGIC KINGDOM:
-It's a Small World
-Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin
-Mickey's PhilharMagic
-Peter Pan's Flight
-The Enchanted Tiki Room
-The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh
-Tomorrowland Transit Authority
-Pirates of the Caribbean
-Snow White's Scary Adventures
-Tomorrowland Indy Speedway
-Jungle Cruise
-Liberty Square Riverboat
-The Hall of Presidents
-The Haunted Mansion
-Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress (a must see)

EPCOT:
-Soarin' (as you said)
-Spaceship Earth
-Honey, I Shrunk the Audience
-Maelstrom
-Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros (almost like It's a Small World except in mexican culture... it's great!)
-Impressions de France
-Living With The Land
-And make sure you check out INNOVENTIONS

MGM STUDIOS:
-Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular
-Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show
-MGM Studios backlot tour
-Muppet Vision 3-D
-Sounds Dangerous - Starring Drew Carey
-The Great Movie Ride

ANIMAL KINGDOM:
-Maharajah Jungle Trek
-It's Tough to be a Bug
-Kali River Rapids
-Kilomanjaro Safaris
-Primeval Whirl
-And make sure you check out the TREE OF LIFE

You said you were considering FAST TRACK and MISSION SPACE... well if you are looking for slower rides.. I suggest the mild version of Mission Space because they have two versions... the original (the crazy one) and the mild version. I suggest the mild version just for your own safety. Fast Track is a blast but if you are not into fast rides, it's not a good ride for you.

I hope you have a blast in DisneyWorld! Source(s): personal experience. i've been there 13 times.
Other Travel Tips
Soarin' is one of the best rides in all of Disney. If you like the slower rides, then I would most definitely not ride Mission Space. People have been getting off that ride really sick since it opened. Here are a few that I would recommend very highly and are not real fast.

Test Track - I know that this is technically the fastest ride in WDW, however the "fast" part is not really a big deal. The ride itself is fun and interesting, then the very end where the car takes off is no different if you ride in a convertable or a car with an open sun roof. I think that if you try it you will really enjoy it.

Pirates of the Caribbean - slower boat ride that inspired the movies. Capt. Jack Sparrow, Davey Jones, and Capt. Barbosa have all been added to the ride, making this one even better.

Buzz Lightyear's Space ranger spin - ride in a slow moving car in an interactive video game. Lots of fun!

Spaceship Earth - not the greatest ride in the parks, but a family favorite. No trip to Disney is complete without a ride in the "giant golfball."

Tomorrowland speedway - u-drive speedway cars are always fun.

Peter Pan's flight - an older ride in Disney, but still a favorite. There is something about flying over Neverland in a pirate ship that appeals to everyone.

The Great Movie ride - this is a cool ride that takes you through the movies. Brings back a ton of memories.

Backlot tour in MGM - seeing the backlot and the movie props plus the AFI showcase is cool.

Kilimanjaro Safari in Animal Kingdom - riding the savanah is a must when going to AK. Seeing the animals roaming somewhat free is another family favorite.

Here are some rides that are a little faster but not killers, and still lots of fun:

Aerosmith Rock 'N' Roller coaster, Space Mountain, Splash Mtn., Thunder Mtn. Railroad, Expedition Everest.

Also, there are a ton of attractions to see as well. These could be rides, but not really:
It's tough to be a bug, Disney's Philharmagic, The Hall of Presidents, The American Adventure, Honey I shrunk the audience, Muppetvision 3-D, Beauty and the Beast live on stage, Tarzan Rocks.

And don't forget the night time laser/fireworks shows at the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and MGM, they are all must sees!

Hope this helps. If you are looking for more info on rides and attractions there are a few places I would recommend. First, check out www.disneyworld.com. There is a full description with pics for each and every ride and attraction. Some other web sites are allears.net, where there is tons of info, and the disboards. The disboards is a message board website all about going to Disney. You can get tons of info from the people who know Disney the best and go often. Finally I would check out the local bookstore and pick up the Birnbaum's guide to WDW. There are tons of guide books out there but that is the one that has worked best for us.

Have a great time!

Yep. Basically u sit in a chair with a pull down harness and feel the pressure when u take off and stuff like that. There are 2 different Mission Space though. One is gentler than the other and u get in the appropiate queue for the one you want. Have u done Peter Pan s flight? It s really cute. Its for kids but its the most popular ride. U travel over London in suspended boats.Have a great trip!
Wow, if you like slow rides, Mission Space and Fast Track will be polar opposites. I really enjoy soaring, I know of no simular rides, other than those at Magic Kingdom: Peter Pan's Flight, Winnie the Pooh and others. I am interested in reading your responses.
