What are the best hotels/resorts in Orlando? |
Travel Info My family and I are researching our trip to Orlando Florida. We want to know from personal experience what your favorite hotels/resorts have been to stay at? Please let us know and why so we can make a good choice. Joe Travel Tips 1. Bonnet Creek Resort is probably the nicest overall. They have some pretty good deals on e-bay. It's a timeshare and you can rent from owners (cheaper than booking directly). It's not Disney owned, but it's right by another Disney resort and close to Downtown Disney and Epcot. You don't get some of the perks of a Disney resort, but for the money and the amount of room you get, it's a great deal. 2. Swan/Dolphin is also very nice and it's right next to (walking distance) to Epcot and the Boardwalk. You can take a boat to MGM. They are a Westin resort, but offer Disney bus transportation and a few of the other Disney resort perks. You can get a good government/teacher/nurse/milit... discount. They also occassionally have special prices of around $150-160. 3. If that's too pricey and you want to stay at a Disney-owned resort, try Port Orleans or Pop Century. 4. Royal Pacific Resort is right next to Universal Studio and is a fab. resort, but it's super pricey. We could spend all day at the pool there. Others try a vacation rental resort. You can preview this at http://www.disneyneighbor.com good luck i stayed at the saralaga hotel in kissimmee, very nice place was able to get a 2 room suite with ref and microwave for a resinable rate. free shuttle to disney. this is classified as a 3 star motel and that is was it was. no special features but if you are looking for a nice place to stay without fringes then i would suggest the saralago. they have 2 pools and a hot tub the pool is open until 12 am which is extremely nice after walking around the park all day. only down fall is that the last pick up time for the shuttle is at 10pm which will cause you to miss the fireworks. if you want to see the fireworks i would suggest to rent a car or stay on disney. good luck with all your decisions. my suggestion would to go with your instincts. nickelon studios is absolute best of both worlds they do their own shows have wonderful rooms and great pools and arcades for the kids. they also offer free shuttle services to Disney universal sea world etc check out the link below for flights, accommodation, cheap car hire and more information on an orlando vacation. http://floridavillarental2.mysite.orange... Depends how much you want to spend... any of the disney resorts are very nice but are pretty expensive. If you want to stay in the park but not as expensive as the deluxe resorts then i'd suggest http://www.grosvenorresort.com/index.asp... we stayed here and it was prettynice and not super expensive, its also right next to downtown disney so you can just walk right down whenever you want. It also has transportation (bus) to all parks every 15 min. Disney characters at breakfast, a mystery dinner theater, bar, pool, etc. It was a great place to stay without being too expensive. We also stayed at Fort Wilderness resort, which is more of a camp-like feel. If you want really cheap then i'd stay in Kissamee, just outside disney. Good luck! Been several times. |
