Travel Info orlando parks , we have accommodation and flights booked all i need really is some good info on transport, eating and drinking houses Travel Tips as for transport yu can get taxis or shuttle buses most of the time. if your spending time near international drive then i suggest you get the i ride shuttle its great its only a dollar each and it goes all the way from one end of the international drive to another. the drivers are very freindly and f you dont know where your getting off then just ask.there always happy to help.every couple of 100 yards though you have shuttle stops and very detailed maps that you can look at with all the stop numbers couldnt be simpler. as for food and drink well you cant go wrong you get your usual restaurants that youl see ten to the gallon. they are everywhere you cannot miss the the eat all you want buffets are great value for money.if youd like something a little more up market then i suggest you head towards international drive. i go to florida 4 times a year.trust me the food is wonderful.im a big eater.if your intop steaks then i suggest you head to charleys steakhouse cant miss it its right near ripleys believe it or not.its quite an upscale restaurant but boy is the food nice. also try fishbones, ming court, kobe japanese steakhouse{they cook the food right in front of you a very interesting experience friendly and funny chefs}. johhny rockets burgers in pointe orland off i drive.beautiful burgeres and shakes to die for. hope this helps any more information needed just gimme a buzz oh yeah if your having a blokey night as well do not forget the black angus and try the 32 oz porterhouse t bone steak. enjoy. Others Sorry no idea, just wanted to say how lucky you are,its absolutely amazing there,i loved it. If you are staying on Disney Property there is no need to be concerned about transportation, Disney will transport to all their properties. In regards to meals check out Disneyworld.com and check out the dinning section, they have descriptions, which serve drinks and cost. I strongly suggest you call and make resevations for meal 180 days ahead, as they go fast. Basically most of the hotels, including of course all of the Disney Hotels, offer free Transportation to the Disney Theme Parks. However, if you stay at a Disney hotel, and you're going to Universal or Sea World, you will need to get your own transportation. There are only some hotels in the area that offer free transportation to both Disney and Universal/Sea World. If you're not lucky to be staying at one of them and still need transportation from the Airport to the Hotel and back, or if you need transportation around the area, you can visit us at http://www.interstatetours.com... we offer Transportation services here in Orlando and we would be more than happy to assist you with your needs. If you need to get taxis from Disney area, the yellow ones are very reasonable (I think it was $1 a mile in March). If you are not staying on International Drive or Disney I think you would find you need a car (although trolley buses run along the 192). The cars are very easy to drive, very comfortable and lovely and cool after a day at the parks. viporlandovillas After you have cooked your kids, they will appreciate a car with air-con. Unless you are staying in the resort or International Drive, then a car is pretty essential. For food it si hard to go wrong. You can go up market, down market, mid market as you see fit. I can recomment Black Angus from personal experience, and Red Lobster is ok. You can also have a drink with your meal / after it at the same places. If you get a 'chinese' takeaway (actually, delivery), although the food is named the same as the UK it is distinclty different. Especially the curry which is notable by a) not being wet and b) not being spicy. Have a good holiday. |
