Why is Epcot worth seeing? |
Travel Info What does it have there? What makes it worth visiting? What kind of food do they have? Would you choose Epcot over Animal Kingdom? I already have chosen that Magic Kingdom will be one place to visit while I'm in Orlando and now I'm trying to decide the second, but I need a little help. Thanks! Travel Tips Epcot center is most definintely worth seeing. If I had to choose between Animal kingdom and Epcot, I think I would choose Epcot. Epcot is home to two of the best rides in all of Disney, Test Track and Soarin'. Both are must see attractions. They also have the Nemo and friends attraction that is home to Turtle Talk with crush, the Land attraction where they are growing food with experimental processes. Mission Space is there (although we avoid that ride), Innoventions, and Imagination, which houses the Honey I Shrunk the Audience movie. There is also one of the larger stores on property in Mouseworks. That is all found in Future world. The countries are another matter. Each of them has merchandise from thier country and people that were brought in from that particular country to work there. The food in each of the countries is authentic, with Mexico, Germany, China and Japan our favorites. Norway has the Maelstrom, a Pirates of the Caribbean type ride about the Vikings (no, not the Minnesota Vikings, the real vikings.) Canada has one of the best steak houses on property, and the UK is also a good place to eat and watch the traveling minstrels. And if that wasn't enough, Illuminations is the night time fireworks and laser light show. Animal Kingdom is fun, don't get me wrong. There is the Kilamanjaro safari, where the animals are not caged, the Trek walking safari, It's tough to be a bug, Dinoland USA, and of course Expedition Everest, the newest addition to the "Disney mountain range." However, I just enjoyed my time at Epcot center much more. Hope this helps. If you want some more info I have a couple of suggestions. First of all, go straight to the mouse himself. The disneyworld.com website has descriptions and pictures of all of the attractions in WDW. Second, check out the disboards. The disboards is a message board website that is dedicated to going to Disney. You can ask questions, get dining reports, resort reports, reviews, tips and suggestions about just about anything Disney. Finally, go to the bookstore and pick up the Birnbaum's guide to WDW. There are a ton of guide books out there, but that is the one that has worked best for us. Have a great trip! I had a very romantic night there with a guy I met on a cruise when I was in high school. I may be a little bit nerdy but I love Epcot just for that. Epcot has a lot of technology stuff and it has all the animation with pixar there. If you like behind the scenes stuff you can see it all there. if your looking for rides you wont find a whole lot to wait in line for at epcot. I think it's the best all round experience at Disney World. It celebrates human achievement and technological progress in the front half, and then celebrates world diversity and culture in the back half. Where else can you visit so many countries in one day? Well it has the best food, "Le Celier" in the Canada area is one of the best restaurants on Disney property. All the countries are fun because there is so much culture and the people working there are really from that country. There is some awesome technology at the front of the park too, like the house of the future. It has "Test Track" and "Mission Space" which are fun.. be careful on Mission Space because it has killed a few people. Oh, and the Maelstrom in the Norway pavilion is fun too. http://www.orlandofloridasucks.com... |
