Why are there no insects in disney world? |
Travel Info Sitting around the resort swimming pool last week, I noticed no bugs flying around any of the lights. Why are there no bugs? Travel Tips I noticed that our first trip and asked last time we were there. I was told they spray every morning and every evening, and many of the plants around the are are insect resistant. Amazing what they will do to make your trip the one of your dreams. Others I think there are bugs there. You just didn't see them. They can't afford the admission price? Oh yeah, bugs live there, but there are so many lights they spread out more than in say, a parking lot, so you don't really notice them. Once the park closes and the lights go down, the mosquitoes really go to town on the employees. Because Disneyworld is just that- its own world. I think Walt wanted that in his master plan of the perfect place to live and play. I came to this conclusion when I visited Disney not long ago, and my GPS system in my car went crazy. I tried asking it how to get out of the Disney area, and she had no answer for me. She kept taking me around in circles, like we were trapped. It took me a week just to find my way off of International Drive. I think there is an invisible force field around the entire area that keeps unwanted visitors out (ie.bugs, etc.) personal experience I just got back and I saw plenty of bugs.. but almost all of them at night or early evening... Many places had bug zappers around though.. |
