Need nice hotel near Disney World (Florida)! Help!? |
Travel Info Something clean, has to have wireless internet and free breakfast. Plus close to Disney as I mentioned up top. But I don't want to pay an arm and a leg. Thanks! Travel Tips When I know someone is on a budget, I always suggest the Comfort Inn in Lake Buena Vista. They are clean and "cheap" and offer free bus service to the parks. You can even purchase a package that includes tickets to the parks staying there through 407-W-Disney. Others Well the Disney resorts are DEFINITELY worth it if you pay a little extra. The Wilderness Lodge is incredible and I have heard good things about the Polynesian. No free breakfast, though. But you can go to hotels.com to find other area hotels. well, if you have kids, you can always stay at the nickelodeon hotel. it has decent prices and free transit to all the attractions down there We always stay on Disney property. They have several moderately priced hotels; Carribean Beach, Port Orleans, Coronado Springs that start at around $140.00 a night or the even cheaper hotels; All-Star Music, All-Star Movies, All-Star Sports that start at about $80.00 a night. The one very nice thing about staying on property is that you pull into the parking lot of your hotel and never have to get into your car again until you are ready to leave. Disney has a wonderful transportation system that gets you around from place to place and its free if you stay at one of their properties. They all have wireless internet, but no free breakfast. We have stayed both on and off property and on property is definitely the way to go. I am sorry that I can't recomment an off property hotel, as we have not done that for about 20 years. Well, there are many hotels that provide these amenities now. The only questions you have to ask yourself now is when you will be traveling... prices will be changing weekly, even daily. The sooner you book the better price you might be able to get. People usually book and forget to call back to see if the rates have changed! Also, some hotels may offer a percentage off if you stay 2 nights or more. They might not offer these up front.... ASK! Another thing is how far will you be willing to rent, if you don't want to wake up early, you may have to pay a bit more (kissimmee has great prices). Another is if you want to pay for parking, if not, you'll need a hotel that has free transportation to the parks you'll be going to, or cheaper fares! Triprewards.com is a great site to visit to save some money and earn points for free nights. Also, call or check your credit cards. Many times they have discounts for members. I know Amex will refund around $20 when you use their card at participating restaurants when you're on vacation! Another thing I recommend is to pack lunch atleast one day! You could save $50-100! There are so many other recommendations I have.... don't mean to do this, but i'm a part-time travel agent... email me if you need help... $50 flat rate! Me, personal experience, travel agent, hotels.com Well the Poly is a great choice but I would prefer The Grand Floridian....Have Fun!! |
