I'm trying to pick restaurants on the Disney Dining Plan? |
Travel Info Recommendations? I have two small kids, ages almost-3 and almost-5. We are doing Ohana's and Boma and Cinderella's Royal Table. I need one more. I really want Chef Mickey's but they are booked solid for the whole week!!!! I was thinking either Cindrella's Gala Feast or Spoodles. Please help! I need to make my reservations soon! Thanks! Travel Tips Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom Character Dinning with Pooh and Friends. Animal Kingdoms: Donalds Restruantaurus, Breakfast with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy As close to Chef Mickey's there. Others We enjoy the Garden Grill in the Land at Epcot for an alternative to Chef Mickeys. The characters seem to spend a longer time at the table (Dale even sat down and drew a self portrait in my sons book) and are really cute. Much of the food is grown and raised in the Land garden downstairs, and we have never had trouble getting in there because it is kind of hidden. The other good meal for characters that we enjoy quite a bit is the Crystal Palace with Pooh. We reccommend dinner because the price is not that much higher than breakfast or lunch but the quality of the menu is a big difference. Lunch meat and pasta salads vs a carved meat bar and shrimp in the salad bar. And for us breakfast for $20 each is insane. How many pancakes can you eat? You might also look into the Playhouse Disney Meal at Hollywood and Vine. This is new since the last time we went, but with JoJo and Little Einstiens my 3 year old would be into that! Whispering Canyon is not character but it is fun with stick horse races and a very family friendly atmostphere. The Food is good too. Also, keep checking Chef Mickeys as it gets closer. There may be cancellations or no shows. Have a great time and if you are looking for the best Disney site out there go to http://www.allearsnet.com/index.html... They have current menus with prices for all the restaurants, pictures of all the resorts, and some great tips. This doesn't really answer your question, but remember when using the Disney Dining they automatically include an 18% gratutity tip. I went to Cinderall'a Royal table and had a blast. Before we entered the Fairy God Mother was there ready for pictures. Sorry you missed Chef Mickey's that was the best. Ohana's and Boma's are my all time favorites but don't forget the dinner shows which are also included in your package. There is the hoop de doo review over at Ft Wilderness which the kids will LOVE and there is also the polynesian review and I think even a camp fire type themed picnic one with characters. Have a great time! The Crystal Palace, definitely. The character dining with Pooh and friends was great. At one point they had a parade around the dining room and all the kids joined in! They are really good about posing for pictures, and the food was very kid-friendly, from memory. Have a great time! |
