Travel Tips US citizens don't need a passport to enter Canada as long as they can prove their citizenship with some other form of ID. The only exception is if you are entering Canada from from a third country. Canada currently has no plans to require passports from US citizens, but in December 2006 you will need to have a passport when you try to get back into the US. If coming by plane, you'll definitly need your passport when you go through Canadian Customs in Canada. Otherwise, by bus or car you might want to take your passport as a backup. |
