Can any one tell me how to reach Thousand Islands in Canada? |
Travel Info its around toronto Travel Tips It depend's where you're coming from - if you're travelling from the State's to visit, take I-95 to the Thousand Island International Bridge by vehicle. If you're coming from Toronto, get off the 401 at the Gananoque exit. Gananoque has terrific Boat Tour's of the Thousand Islands on the St. Lawrence River, but it also stretch's into Kingston, Lake Ontario, where the largest Island is located, Wolfe Island. They are very beautiful to see and you'd be surprised at how many big Home's are located on a small Island, where many famous people spend their summer's. There's also a stop at one of the Island's where you can get off the Boat and visit Boldt's Castle, now a tourist attraction. Yes, it really is a Castle! Take the Boat Tour from Gananoque as I said, the one from Kingston is too short. You'll be amazed and delighted at how beautiful it all is Source(s): Live there Other Travel Tips i went there when i was little, and i think we flew up to canada, then rented a car and drove to the thousand islands. my past The closest ferry is in Cape Vincent, NY. http://www.1000islands.com/thecape/...
