Do you know any good Provincial Parks in Ontario to camp at? |
Travel Info I'm looking for a Provincial Park in Ontario, preferably within 4 hours of Ottawa. It needs to be good for camping, and I would like it to have beaches, with warm water to swim in. Thank you so much! Travel Tips Algonquin Baby!!!! The best and biggest! Others One of the nicest Provincial Park's in Ontario (and within your driving distance) is the Sandbank's Provincial Park! It's located in the Picton, Ont. area. It has a white, sandy beach as far as the eye can see, the water is shallow enough and clear for children to play in, you have to walk/swim farther out to get to the deeper water and it's always the right temp., not too cold and not too hot, refreshing. You'd actually swear you're at the Ocean rather than Lake Ontario, it's that beautiful! You would NOT be disapointed! You're welcome, BUT you have to pick a Best Answer!! Experience Modified 11 months ago The answers already given are great. Two other parks in the area - Murphy's Point and Charleston Lake are also worth checking out. Go to Ontarioparks.com for more info. Personal; Ontarioparks.com http://www.ontarioparks.com/ |
