Where can I get VCDs? |
Travel Info Are there any stores in Ottawa where I can buy VCDs ?? Because I want to send some movies to a friend of mine in the Philippines, but she doesn't have a DVD player and can only watch VCD movies on her PC. Anywhere preferably near Barrhaven ? I don't want to buy from the internet Travel Tips VCD's are not a type of disc. VCD is the type of encoding you put on a disc. So basically all you need is a normal CD-R. If your friend does not have a DVD player, then there is no point in burning a VCD anyways because VCD's are basically a format you use to make a movie/video play on a DVD player using normal CD's. In my opinion if your friend will only be playing them on the computer, you should just make a normal data CD containing your videos. If you want to make your videos smaller then uncompressed AVI, look into converting them to Mpeg, DiVX or Xvid. If your absolutely serious about making a VCD then check out www.doom9.org but be warned it is a long a difficult process for a beginner. Others waa are they |
