Does the mail (immigrationsbureau_canadas@yahoo.ca) belong to governmemntal office or not? |
Travel Info I got this email from a friend then I discovered that I have to pay 350$ to get the visa done, I was told by afriend not to pay because it may be a trick, so I just want to double check the email itself if it was registered as a governmental email or not. Travel Tips No, it isn't Government. Canadian Departments haven't used Bureau in their Departments since, gee the 60's. Names are streamlined to easily be bilingual, AND in the global world, like surfing, to let you know you have the right government. Canadas (plural) hasn't been used since the 1800's. I don't think Immigrations (plural) is an English word. It would be Immigration. Immigration Canada or Citizenship and Immigration Canada or CIC is Canadian government. If you are getting Canadian government email they will end in gc.ca gc = government of Canada ca = Canadian email domain like: @canada.gc.ca @international.gc.ca etc You never post the whole email address. (Put it in the small box - where you start saying "I got this email....") But I see you have @ya. IS THAT @yahoo??? If so, Government nor business use yahoo mail. It is also against Yahoo TOC to use it's mail for anything but personal use. Business and spam aren't allowed and you should report it to them. Source(s): http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/index.html... Other Travel Tips Leave some spaces if you want the whole address to show. Yahoo answers allows a limited number of characters (25?) in a row. No, that is not a Canadian Immigration e-mail address. They are trying to scam you out of some money. Here is the Canadian Immigration website. You won't receive an e-mail from them. I hope this helps. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/index.html... |
