Is it possible to go to college in another country? |
Travel Info like canada or something if so how do you register Travel Tips Yes. Generally it cost more than tuition for local students, but then I believe it ends up being a comparable price to US schools. This first link is by the Canadian Government and is a good start on how to start looking into it. The second link is information on a Student Visa. Source(s): https://www.livelearnandsucceed.gc.ca/ll... http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/index... Other Travel Tips People do it all the time. First of all, make sure you know what you want to study. Look up different schools that offer the programs you're looking for, and see if they have study abroad programs. Many of them will, and their study abroad programs are recommended, if not expensive. If you can afford it, anything is possible. Keep in mind all the implications for tuition, accomodation, etc. A degree from a foreign country, of course from a reputable university, is always a big asset. Most universities' website provide information for potential foreign students on academic and application requirements, visa requirements, on-campus accomodation, etc. If you are thinking about Canada, check University of Toronto, McGill, UBC, Winnipeg, Queens, etc. It really depends on the field of interest. The cost of living in smaller cities is of course lower even if tuition is about the same. For example, in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, PEI, NS, NFLD, NB, the cost of living is generally lower than in other provinces, while univesities there have a good reputation overall, and the quality of life is better (at least to me). |
