Cheap ideas for things to do in Ottawa, Ontario? |
Travel Info I am looking for suggestions for cheap fun things to try in Ottawa. I.e. What time museums are free?, sports, food, classes, workshops, anything... Travel Tips Given that many of the major museums close at 5pm, I suppose they are "free" -- if you break in. I think the art gallery might be free, and open, Thursday evenings, though.* The Museum of Nature is free Saturday mornings. (http://www.nature.ca/museum/visinfoadm_e... Eat! Sadly still unfrozen at this point, so no skating, but still a good place for a stroll. * I was right: http://www.gallery.ca/english/default_46... Others - Attend a home bible study. museums are free after 5 pm, tons of sports recreation centres, and many food courts in the shopping malls in ottawa. Museums are free every Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The movie theatre at the St. Laurent shopping centre is cheap (about $4), they show movies that have already been out for a while. |
