How big is Ottawa, Ontario? |
Travel Info How big is Ottawa, Ontario? Travel Tips It's pretty big Others Population 859,704 (estimated[1]) Metro 1,146,790 and its the 4th Largest city in Canada http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ottawa%2c_o... WoW,,, don't get that question often. LoL. Well, our population here is roughly 1.15 million (not too big) and we're not very dense. No skyscrapers or anything like that. But our population seems a little larger than it should be because Metro Ottawa consists of many large suburbs like Nepean (That's me), Kanata, Gloucester, Orleans, Ottawa-Carleton,,,,etc. Alot of these municipalities stretch into the edges of rural areas and cover alot more area than the actual city itself. All of these suburbs only came together officially within the past few years to form the National Capital Region. Well this is all from experience living here my entire life. Want more, then check here,,, By the way, why would you want to know about Ottawa?? just curious http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ottawa... Ottawa is the capital of Canada and the country's fourth largest city, as well as the second largest city in the province of Ontario after the provincial capital of Toronto. It is located in the Ottawa Valley on the eastern edge of the province of Ontario, 400 kilometres (250 mi) east of Toronto and 190 kilometres (120 mi) west of Montreal. Ottawa lies on the banks of the Ottawa River, a major waterway that forms the border between Ontario and Quebec. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ottawa... |
