Ottawa continuing education? |
Travel Info Are there any schools in Ottawa that are adult continuing education? Like correspondence? For high school not college. Travel Tips The OCDSB has an adult high school on Rochester street. The Catholic board has St. Nicholas Adult High School. Source(s): OCDSB: http://adulths.4poyntzdezign.com/... Catholic Board: http://adulths.occdsb.on.ca/index.php... Other Travel Tips I'm not clear on why you'd want local correspondence courses -- what difference does it make? There're adult high schools in the area; I think they're run along more or less the same lines as regular high schools as far as attendance requirements... Years ago, I knew people who finished up their last remaining high school credits through correspondence, and -- well, now I can't remember if it was through the local school board, or a provincial thing. Check out: http://www.ocdsb.ca/continuweb/credit_pr... I can't find anything about correspondence per se, but try calling them; they'd at least be able to refer you. No, wait. I will. http://www.edu.gov.on.ca/eng/students/fa... It is provincial, then. "As part of TVOntario, the Independent Learning Centre (ILC) provides a wide range of distance education courses, in English and in French, for Ontario residents who want to earn Ministry of Education high school diploma credits, upgrade basic skills, or study for personal development." from http://www.ilc.org/cfmx/cou/about/cou_ab... |
