How cold is Canada in winter? |
Travel Info I know the answer to this because I live in Canada. Just checking how little people know about Canada Travel Tips Good one, I bet it'll fool people. Canada is one of the largest countries in the world. That's like asking how cold the United States is in the winter. Florida isn't the same temperature as Wisconsin in the winter, is it? Canada can be relatively mild in southern regions (some winters little snow at all and mostly above freezing) and extremely cold in the arctic. The coasts have more mild winters while the central areas have brutal winters. Others http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/canada... as low as 31 degrees there is no doubt about it, the conditions during winter in some parts of Canada can be very harsh at times. High windchills, heavy snowfall, blizzards, freezing rain and extremely cold temperatures all pose a hazard to those travelling or venturing outside. Some parts of Canada don't get much snow and ice in winter but many Canadians battle tough weather conditions and slippery roads for almost six months each year. The 鈥榳hite stuff鈥?generally starts to arrive in late October and can often stay around until March or later. p.s i dont live in canada today its - 20 f thats about average for here last night it dipped down to - 42 f with the wind chill g day I lived in Peterborough, Kawartha region, and we had a minus 50 degrees C winter there and in Toronto. Try going further north and see what happens!! |
