Canadian passports for children...maybe I should have asked it this way...Does it expire when child reaches 16

All Canadian passports expire after 5 years. I have been traveling to Europe ever since I was a baby (have relatives in Germany, Austria and Switzerland). I have a small collection of passports since I was a young child.
